Sorry, when I said full grown trees I was referring to the trees that have already grown quite a bit but can still be planted with ease, bad choice of words there. What I was going at was that it looked as if their was more greenery and small sized trees than what I remember. So much so it looked like the path was carved right out of a thick forest, something I don't remember feeling while on Pirate island.
If you watch the off-ride GK video, you'll notice they include a lot of smaller sized trees within the grass area.
I only looked at one site, but full size trees are not that much money.
Let's Get Weird.
So now if we don't end up getting trees in GK's landscaped areas as the videos depict, we can have a good excuse to get annoyed with them. :)
It'd sure be nice to have willow trees in the infield. Maybe that's how you get the train to go backwards, grab onto one of the "vines" of the willow and pull as hard as you can as you're passing by.

You must not have read the site you posted, those trees are saplings starting at 3ft. to 5 ft. not full grown trees.

If that's the case, it looks like the best route would be to get those 20 dollar planter trees you can get at walmart. They look nice, they're cheap, and they'll grow to be quite large as the years pass.
During a sale, we got a nice pear tree for only 6 dollars that began at around http://miamiplantsandtrees.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/Key-Lime-...-10gal.jpg that height, and now it's taller than our roof.
The last thing the park needs is fruiting trees.

They need to bring back the giant live turkeys, or whatever they were, that used to gawk around Gemini.
I feel so old for remembering that. :) What in the world were they doing there?

Aw man! I completely forgot about the turkeys. They were so cool. Thanks for sparking that memory for me.

I don't know where I pulled that memory from. I just remember "talking" back to them as a kid and they used to follow me. Scary.
But still, how weird that they were just....there....like a decoration?
Maybe they were for the annual Thanksgiving dinner at the Kinzel's.

Man, I forgot about the turkeys also. What a weird memory to just pull out on us.

I never said to get fruiting trees, haha, I was just listing an example based on height. There were plenty of other "normal" trees available at a larger size for cheap. My point is, those trees we see in the rendering, at the height they appear to be, aren't expensive and therefore I would assume that they wouldn't be taken out for money reasons.
Then again, CP has plenty of trees as is, why add any more? It's like walking through a jungle half the time.
Good question. I'd think that grabbing them from your seat while riding GK would be impressive enough to earn you some free food, but you never know.
Fun fact; Disney has a tree farm on-site, so that if they ever need a fully grown tree, they can take one from there and move it.
I'm still trying to recover from the walking through a jungle comment to even comment on the uniqueness that is Disney.

I was being sarcastic. ;)
I've been to enough parks to know how CP compares to others in terms of trees. So whenever they have the opportunity to add more, in this case GK's green area, I'm sure they're eager to take it.
I was at Kings island a few months ago and decided to ride the front row of Beast. That coaster is really something else, nothing but trees and hills makes it feel so much more thrilling and rugged. It's a shame CP can't mimic that, though its beauty comes more from the views you get of the lake.
Anymore, it's getting harder and harder to figure out who is not being sarcastic without using smileys.

My apologies, haha. I thought the jungle analogy would've given it away, but I'll remember to include a winky emote next time.
In the near or distant future, I'd like to see a coaster that utilizes CP's natural surroundings just as the Beast does with the woods at KI. The natural surroundings being the lake of course, so perhaps a coaster entirely over water. I don't know how deep the lake is around the shores of the island, but I do know they must have some ways of laying footers in deeper water if they can do the same for massive bridges.
It would also be a first for any park, as far as I can see from googling "Roller coaster over water"...What pops up are roller coasters partially over water, but nothing without a majority of the ride on land.
What's wrong with a couple Gatekeeper footers being in the parking lot? Scream still looks fun, I'd still ride it if I went to SFMM.
