So, I think CP did a pretty good job of not making this ride a parking lot coaster. I did notice a few supports do touch the parking lot however. Question from the POV tho, it looks like there is a big patch of grassy area they are adding where the coaster goes through the parking lot. Is it just me or does it look to be an island? Where people can park in front of the hugh patch (island) and the rest of the parking lot sits behind it?

It's tacky and unprofessional to still have parking space lines underneath a coaster. It's lazy and is one reason why the coaster count doesn't matter when all they do is plop one down and not even try to landscape or anything
I highly doubt they will just leave even concrete underneath the coaster. Just because the rendering has it doesn't make it final. The main focus of the render was the coaster not the small details.
Considering they went to the trouble of capturing all the seagull poop on the buildings, I suspect it's quite likely that they intend to landscape the area. I would be startled if they didn't.
Unless they go over budget, of course. ;)

I hate it when people refer to companies as "lazy." They aren't lazy, they just don't want to spend money.

Which makes them cheap and lazy ;)

I'd say there will be less landscaping on the real thing compared to the animation. Just look at the comparison between the Maverick animation and the real thing. There are a lot of things missing in real life that were present in the Maverick animation. There are also some things present in real life compared to the animation, but for the most part, the animation showed us much more than there really is.
^I have to disagree. The Gatekeeper animation was not detailed enough to show the viewer what the landscaping will look like. I see a couple of trees, grass, and shrubs near the entrance, but that's about it. It is probably a good thing the animation wasn't detailed with landscaping; that way nobody will be offended when a rock canyon or waterfall isn't added.

Both are great rides. The fact Scream had parking spaces under it didn't change the fact that I enjoyed the ride.
The fact that Scream has parking spaces under it is exactly why I won't be visiting that park.
Not so great.
I'll expand on that thought; I have no interest in giving my money to a park that cares so little about my experience. I can ride "Scream" in about 10 different parks. Fail.
