Voyage has steel tracks? Some steel structural pieces? Wow. Is this the same Voyage at the same Holiday World I went to?
it does have some steel, it's hard to see...anyways I was kidding around. But I can dream that Cedar Point will one day put in a woody of that caliber. That last sentence sounded really perverted. What can i say...I love woodies....hold on, that sounded even worse....oh forget it.
Is the sentence perverted or are you just dirty minded?

T&T gave us a heads up not a clue. There's a difference.
Can't we all just wait until Friday and look at the update here and say, "Oh they started ____________!"
If you use logic, you'll realize it would be January before they could even get MS completely demolished, so obviously that's not happening (See Dorney Park's Hercules for reference). And no matter how much some of you dislike MS, it is what it is.

boy o boy djcreep, when they let the cat out of the bag you're going to feel like a fool. I tell you why, because they are not going to tear down MEAN STREAK! It wont be a "STRADDLE" coaster, because that would be realy stupid! Anyway, I respect what you said but take common sense and read how to use it!

You know, now that I think about it, it's not out of the realm of possibility that this coaster could be a Wooden Coaster. The Voyage at Holiday World is a wooden coaster with steel tracks, and some steel structural pieces.
We can all agree that this is a good moment for a ....
<Matt>
101 on Magnum and counting...
people dont believe that the Voyage has a steel structure....
http://www.rcdb.com/id3231.htm
Gravity Group, aka the old custom coasters, uses steel for their structure, just like Villain at Geauga Lake. all of, well probably about 90% of, the structure is steel.
but its a woodie cause of the track, no steel tube track.
can we please not talk about woodies anymore and more about the construction site?
For some reason I thought I missed T&T having fun with the subject, but I forgot what it does to the forum.

if they are starting construction so early, im starting to wonder if this is the "real" Project 2007 or this is only a cover-up.
Nope, it's not real. When they get it finished it's going to be cut out from the ground and airlifted to Japan. In return we will get a brand new 4-D coaster. The "real" Project 2007 will be airdropped ontop of Mean Streak to save the time that it would take to dismantle the woodie. The cutout of the "fake" Project 2007 will be filled with water and goldfish to be dubbed the WORLD'S LARGEST goldfish tank. Guests will be able to feed the fish twice a day between the times of 10am- 12pm and 6pm- 8am. The cost of fish food will be 50 cents. Proceeds will be donated to Mr. Kinzel's new Mercedes Foundation.
^This is too good to be true! We'll get to feed them twice a day?! ;)

I just got word from a secret informant that they will in fact be tearing down Mean Streak and EVERY OTHER coaster in the park, except Disaster transport and Woodstock express, to build the longest (in duration) coaster in the world. Unfortunately, since they're going for the world record for duration, the largest hill will be about 20-30 feet and it will more or less meander throughout the park at a leisurely pace (to help lengthen the ride time). Keeping in true Intamin style, there will also be a couple launch sections, that will launch you at about 15-20mph and also a cable lift for one of the 20-footers. It will also be extremely quirky the first couple years of operation.
Why tear down every other coaster? Well, as we all know, The Magnum is sinking, but what we didn't know is that the Mean Streak and Blue Streak are infested with termites, Gemini has a problem with carpenter bees, Mantis and Raptor were made with some poor quality chinese steel that is rusting from the inside out, Iron Dragon's chain lift has finally given out and it's cheaper to destroy it than replace the lift, tree roots are growing into Corkscrew's footers, causing them to crumble, and top thrill dragster has been sold to Six Flags to use for the next couple years while their newer, taller coaster is having the quirks ironed out.
You guys might not believe it now, but this is what my secret informant has told me, and it has to be the truth because not just any idiot can register a name and post on a board like this...it takes a special type of idiot for that.
Well, at least they're not going tearing down my sweet DT...the finest indoor, psychedically themed, inoperative-robot-overlooking-the-queue, bobsled on the planet! I mean it!
My author website: mgrantroberts.com.
Well, you know, it's valuable... I mean with the air conditioning and all... ;) No, but really, DT is not that bad for a bobsled.

Yes, Woodstock Express is staying. Another one of those hidden gems. Sadly the line is going to be long and that one train operation is really going kill on those Saturdays in July.

okayy lets assume this would happen by some miracle and be finished before the end of the season (yea right), would it open? or wait until next year?

Wait, what about Millennium?;)
Given the rest of the story, I assume Millennium Force is supposed to "vanish" once we're all told Millennium Force was just a fictional rollercoaster and they just fed us a really good story about it, so we all THOUGHT it was there and that we THOUGHT we rode it. Our memories will suddenly forget ths fake story, and thus there won't be a rollercoaster there anymore. It'll be the easiest removal of a coaster ever.
