NEWS FLASH!!!! Track and supports sighted

Everyone is saying the track is concave...what about convex? How can you tell the difference?
You can tell that they are concave rather than convex because of where the white lines(where the wheels go) are on the rails.

I'm excited.

The red white and blue tophat seems neat, and I think something like American Eagle or Golden Eagle or U.S. Eagle would be nice.

I don't. A little patriotism is okay (corkscrew, laser light show). "Eagle"...come on now. CP can do better that that, and I have faith they will.

Anonymous, I am also one to agree that the eagle names don't sound all that great. No offense to anyones ideas, but I personally think that a 400ft. red white and blue coaster would look kinda ugly up in the cedar point skyline.

Edit: Now that I think about it, if I put the colors in order (instead of red, then blue, and then white), if you go red, white and then blue, it might look ok.

I think you would be in the minority...

July 11th: Korn, Puddle of Mudd, and Deadsy

Someone said on the last page that chaos is gone for sure. Why do you say that? Is there something I missed. I for one love this ride and think it would look really good near WT and the beach

I'm with DJ here I think that American Eagle would be a great name, and if they are dueling coasters then they can name the other one Ambercrombie and Fitch.

OK-I just realized that they are marketing like no-ones buisness. They put track next to peep accesable road...public peeps. Then, both solor suuports, and both color track is their. Wouldn't they paint all track of one color, bundle it together to be shipped together, and then paint the next? I mean why would all colors be there? They want us to see this....they are good.

Wrong... if that was true there wouldn't be a huge stash elsewhere...

Well, then I would be with him.

Don't forget (although that wouldn't have to be exactly it) that American Eagle is a name used by Six Flags.

red, white, and blue....how about American Force...or if they are dueling, as a tribute to everyone who lost their lives for the US, American Forces

If life is full of ups and down, you better make sure your safety restraint is locked and ENJOY the ride.

I am lost as to why Paddlewheel would be gone completely. Those boats are only a few years old. Unless they are sending them to a sister park I don't see why they would eliminate them all together.

Chaos also puzzles me. Why get rid of the ride? It certainly is small enough to be relocated.

If people are saying that the announcement will be later on than most people expect, wouldn't March 1 be a good date to proclaim to Ohio and the world about their new machine? I just thought this because of the exact date of Ohio's bicential. American Eagle doesn't seem to me to be a good name (just my opinion). Lastly I wonder where that second/third/fourth stash of supports and track are. So people who are up there frequently check out many places.

Just to explain Chaos's removal.......

With MiA's accident and the near accident that CP had with this ride this year I can certainly see them rmoving this ride. But then again, the ride is still operating this year, so if they were removing it for safety reasons, it would probably already have been removed.

I hope the entrance is far away from Magnum! I love Magnum's short queue this year.

Why get rid of Chaos? Let me count the ways...

1. P.O.S.

2. News worthy stories surrounding its safety at certain sister parks.

3. Low ridership in comparison to other rides at the park.

4. P.O.S.

5. Unreliability and downtime.

I don't think a notoriously unreliable ride is really worth saving, especially when its replacement is a new coaster. It hasn't been in that long and constitutes a maintenance hassle most of the time.

Maybe CP will send one of the PWE boats to MiA to ferry people across the pond. :)
March 1st for the announcement? I doubt it. They might as write off all season passes if they decided to wait that long.

I still don't get Chaos. If it was that big of a concern you wouldn't be able to ride it today.

3. Low ridership in comparison to other rides at the park.

Why do you think it has low ridership? It always seems to have one of the longest lines of any flat ride at CP. Compared to coasters, of course it's low, but not compared to other flat rides.

Florida may have Disneyworld and Key West,
but Ohio has Cedar Point and Put-In-Bay.
It's great to live in Ohio!
