NEWS FLASH!!!! Track and supports sighted

If my memory serves me correct, when i was at CP 2 weeks ago and was in the station for Gemini, the person doing the spiel stressed that it was CP's "ONLY" racing rollercoaster. With all the talk of dueling racers, i just never heard them stress that before, but then again, i'm not there every day ;). Maybe next year it won't be. I know they are just stating fact, but you know how all of us, as of late, have been reading too much into what everyone says. Especially with the arrival of different colored track. LOL! Just throwing so more fuel on the fire, or maybe it was water who knows.

Can we expect any new elements on this ride? I would be kind of dissapointed if it only consisted of overbanked turns. I wouldn't be dissapointed in the ride itself, I mean, 400 feet high and 100 miles per hour, who can complain! I just hope that Intamin and Cedar Point get creative

I have a thought, WHAT if since there are "two different colored" track and support pieces and that (one) sheet of paper said "DRAGSTER" what if they (CP) are going to have two Launching coaster going 110+ straight out do some worly giging and come back to station. I know that Dragsters don't turn (very much) but they could be the worlds fastest coasters if they would go as fast as said.

Ok, we still can't rule out the racing/dueling possiblity. Just because someone says it isn't likely doesn't mean it still isn't possible. Lets just think of options here.

Dueling/Racing Rocket Coaster

New breed of Intamin Coaster (such as the flyer)

Hyper/Giga Coaster (Not a possibility because we have MF)

Inverted Coaster (Not a possibility because we have Raptor and Wicked Twister)

I say that if they make 2 dueling rocket coasters, then they would probably both be under 300ft.

Also, wouldn't it only count as one coaster? Think about it, if it were drgster themed, a "dueling" theme would seem kind of strange. More of a "RACING" theme. I know the Dueling Dragons down in Orlando are different coasters, but they have completely different layouts. I doubt that if this coaster is a racer, it will have a different layout than the other one.

Jeff has never steered us wrong before...He says he's waiting on blue track still...there WILL be blue track.

There will be ONE coaster! It will be 400ft+! No dueling, no multi-tracked, only multi-colored.

Is it not enough for a huge ride investment, you want two?

What Big Jon said is correct. They spent 25 million for MF in one year. Why not spend around the same amount of money (or a little more) for two coasters in two year? Think about it, it really does make sense.

So that's about 16 million for this new coaster, maybe more, maybe less. That sounds about right, but how much was Xcelerator again? Around 14 million? Is 2 million really that flexible, considering this might be 200ft. taller?

As many have said before.....Dragster is only a generic title for this "type" of coaster.

I would sure hope there is more to this ride than over banked turns, speed, and height. Yes, that makes a great ride but we already have Magnum and MF. I would really like to see something different. We NEED loops! lots of 'em!

Also, someone mentioned X-Flight being the only unique thing SFWoA has. Just my two cents, but Batman Knight Flight is absolutely awesome. That and X-Flight rank very highly on my list of best coasters.

Referring to the colors red and white- anyone remember how and why radio towers are painted?

We don't need any loops just high hills cool turns new crative ideas and lots of waightlessness.

I'd laugh if the ride were just a tophat.

This is what I think Jeff was talking about...people are thinking that the ride will do tons to bleed off some speed, but it's excessive speed will be its limiting factor as well.

Finally, a voice of reason. Somebody that's not giving this coaster 5 tracks, 4 overbanked turns, 3 vertical loops, 2 helixes, and a Danny Partridge in a plum tree.

I've got a novel idea. Let's wait until the ride is announced before we start giving it stats and a name. Or, let's just work off of facts, shall we? There's track and supports on-point. There's massive construction going on.
