NEWS FLASH!!!! Track and supports sighted

Well, that isn't necessarily true. With LIM technology, why must a coaster be high to be fast?

Cause it has to *go* somewhere after it hits that speed, without pulling too many gs. Hence, the necessary height. I guess its *technically* certainly possible to have a ride that goes reaaaally fast but isnt tall, but it sounds like a silly ride, to me.

Sides, I think were giving the kristina rumor entirely too much credit.

I was just thinking. If they did it right, there could be two coasters that use the same vertical tower. One goes under (Inverted) and one goes over. The tracks would merge at the base of the tower. Haven't figured out the support structure, but with box track, I think it can be done. Maybe they figured it out.

well, I talked to my uncle today, he said that there is 2 new shipments coming in on the 16th....he also said that they just got the total construction plans for track one... 389ft...and there is another track.

If you're right, you're right. Just not sure your uncle should be talking.

Yes it's that tall already. I expect it to be twice that size by next weekend.

I think he meant actually on the same piece of box track. Although this would look cool, they would have to have supports coming out from the sides of the track. It's not designed to handle stresses like this. There would be two 20+ ton trains pushing up on that track at the same time...all of those factors would spell disaster, although it would be kind of cool.

July 11th: Korn, Puddle of Mudd, and Deadsy

I'd count the dueling/racing theory out... I saw red and white track connected on the site today.

I own you!

Well I was there today and all I have to say is that this thing is going to be massive. As usual pics were taken and can be seen here for everyone to enjoy http://www.setecx.com/pics/cp91402const/ I shrunk them down a bit for dialup users. If the full size pics are desired let me know and I will put them up or something.

Before I forget, check out the pic with the red track bolted to the white track. So much for dueling...

------------------
Im a lurker....

What picture number is the one with the Red and White connected track? As far as I can tell the closeups of what LOOKS like they are bolted together is actually White Track BEHIND the red track... If you look close enough you can see the end of the white track behind the red a bit. It's just the angle the picture was taken at from what I can see...

------------------
It's all in Twisted Wicker, can't you see?!

This looks bolted together to me, as it did when I was there http://www.setecx.com/pics/cp91402const/PICT0022.html

Tell me how in the hell is this bolted together, in the sections maked with "*" you can clearly see that they are not bolted together, otherwise that white seen through the red track would not be visible.

If you don't look hard enough, of course it looks like its together. I haven't been to the park since the last week of August, so I haven't seen any vertical construction as of yet in person, but that certainly doesn't look "bolted together" to me...

There are 2 pieces of white track there... the stuff you are circling is indeed behind the red piece but it is not the same track as the one to the right of the red track.

probie

I don't see how it's bolted together either.

and remember, if you can't be an athlete, be an athletic supporter

It's another white piece of some sort behind the red and white pieces. (mainly the white) The piece looks like it is touching the ground behind the red, and curves up behind the white and back down. Think of it as a "( " shaped piece rotated clockwise 90 degrees.

Yes, they are bolted together. It will have one track, just like every sane person has told you guys time and time again.

Oh, what's that? No dual tracked, not racing or dueling coasters? Someone whose name begins with a "k" is really starting to look like a fraud...

starting to? ;)...

Wasn't it obvious she was a fraud from the beginning? I don't understand why they would bolt these together on the ground. especially assuming that these "two pieces of track bolted together" are only going to be supported by a Crane cable & the *bolts* that hold them together. Now that I see a slight Chance that they are together, I wish they would just sit there and be some type of decoration/theming. =o)
