Does he have the entire park built? That would be quite the undertaking, I'm sure.

I'm really excited by Maverick and, as many people have written, the website is incredible!

I only hope that Maverick will work in May and won't experience as many problems as WT, TTD, maXair, SkyHawk....

Yeah, I've said this many times before, but Cedar Point should win an award for having the best website of any amusement park. They have more videos, animations, information and photos on their site than any other park. And, it looks great too. They definitely deserve lots of kudos for that.

I like Kudos. Peanut butter are my favorite.

I haven´t had the time to post until now.... so I´ll just go:

wow

CP's website sure has came a long way since the 90s, that's for sure.

The animations were amazing. Did anyone else notice how many people are on the midway from the concept artwork? Looks like Mean Streak will have a good line next year :P

Am I the only one who left the opening on in the background for a half hour to listen to the music while doing my internet surfin? Also, I think CP should make their rendering software into an real game... cause that stuff just looked FANTASTIC! That would make the best game ever

BGRooDoG,

I believe that was created in Discreet's 3dStudio Max with the help of Adobe Illustrator. You can buy them for a few grand and take a few years to get decent at them. Then you can make the same quality stuff. It's unbelievably how hard 3ds is when you first jump in. Maya is even worse.

Also, with my machine at home, I can get nolimits to render track and support at that quality... higher quality actually.

Mark

yea, ive played around with 3DSMax and maya... I was soo confused.... I am good with Adobe Products Though, Im shooling with them as we speak. It looks fantastic though and Software developers (Like Atari with RCT3) should go that direction when developing their new games.... I HOPE!

Producing pre-rendered stuff is a lot different than producing interactive stuff.

I'm with ya :) I think I might start combining nolimits and 3ds to see if I can pull off something like Keith. I have intermediate experience with both... hmmm. I wonder how long it took Keith McVeen to make his hobby a career...

I just saw everything at school and I'm uber excited. I dont mind the logo all to much but its ok.

And sorry if this has been asked already but when T&T said the shirts will be sold this weekend, do they mean ONLY this weekend? Im hopefully going next weekend and I'd love to get one.

I took it to mean starting this weekend. So they'll be available from now through next season.

I would imagine they will sell that shirt for a long time. It doesnt look like it says anything like "coming in 2007" or some other saying that would date it.

I certainly hope they'll be available through the end of the season, since I won't be able to make it this weekend. Hope they ordered plenty!

They have, from IAAPA, several times.

I wouldnt think so. Other than the LIM launch, there's really nothing that can go wrong with it. And the LIMs shouldn't be that hard to figure out, considering we have had 4 years to work on WT and perfect it.

Arguing with a coaster enthusiast is like wrestling with a pig in mud. After a while, you realize the pig enjoys it.

I seriously hope they play the music from the website in the station and in line. :)
