Hey, Inkspot. I dare you to tell Keith that you can do better renderings than he. Find him over at CBuzz.
Whoa, I never said better! I said I'd 'see what I could pull off'. Keith kicks the crap out of my skills, but that doesn't mean I won't try to excel :)

Yeah, I've said this many times before, but Cedar Point should win an award for having the best website of any amusement park. They have, from IAAPA, several times.
Wow... they do a fantastic job. I wish I could get involved in a company like that after i get threw my schooling

I really hope if they have music in the station they don't put up an auto-spiel too. The only reason I say that is because then I'll be upset when the next year they decide to not have the auto-spiel. LOL!! This ride, even moreso than TTD and MF would benefit GREATLY from an auto-spiel though. Something similar to Big Thunder Mountain would be awesome.
"Hang on to your hats and glasses, folks, cause this here's the wildest ride in the wilderness!"
(Obviously they couldn't use THAT exact one, but something to go along with their promotional stuff on the website!)
Oh man. We may have to accept the possibility that they might play country music while we wait in line. Oh, the agony.
"THE Top Thrill Dragster...THE Millennium Force...THE Wicked Twister...THE Magnum! How do you like those apples?!?!?"
They already play country music all throughout Frontiertown. And what is wrong with country music anyway? :)
Well, it is played throughout the rest of Frontier Town and along the Frontier Trail, so I'm sure we will hear it in line. Nothing screams "New Frontier Themed Coaster" than Lil' John. WHAAAAT! NEWW RIIIDE? OKAAAY!!

LMAO!
"Whaatt?!!?"
"THE Top Thrill Dragster...THE Millennium Force...THE Wicked Twister...THE Magnum! How do you like those apples?!?!?"
...I just don't like country music. I'm not too fond of rap either! LOL "OKAAY?!"
I guess I don't really hear the music because I'm too busy listening to everything else around me...like the splashing at Snake River Falls or the screaming on The Skyhawk. I also like the sound of the grill when they're BBQing those big turkey legs! MMh! I have to try one when we go next week!
Edit: BTW, I'll be there on the 16th! Who's with me?!!??

I wouldnt think so. Other than the LIM launch, there's really nothing that can go wrong with it. And the LIMs shouldn't be that hard to figure out, considering we have had 4 years to work on WT and perfect it.
If they're working to perfect the LIMs on Maverick, they're going to be trying for a heck of a lot longer than 4 years.
I didn't even think about it at first, but what if they have many difficulties with this ride similar to the TTD? I'm sure they will. I just hope it's not down all the time like the TTD. Even though it would be cool to get stuck in that tunnel for the second launch. :-)
"THE Top Thrill Dragster...THE Millennium Force...THE Wicked Twister...THE Magnum! How do you like those apples?!?!?"
So you're sure it will be down all the time like TTD, but you hope it won't be?
I'm expecting we'll see some problems (similar to any new ride) but hopefully it will be nothing even close to the TTD issues by comparison. I'm expecting a couple hours or so here and there for the first month or so, and then down to no more than the other stable rides.
Of course this is Intamin, so I may be completely off.

You know what? I'm sure they don't want to make the same mistake twice and they're probably going to test this one more than they did the TTD.
"THE Top Thrill Dragster...THE Millennium Force...THE Wicked Twister...THE Magnum! How do you like those apples?!?!?"
I suspect Jugga's right. Except for TTD, which when built featured the coaster world's most complex, powerful launching system, Intamin's record is not all that bad. I certainly wouldn't say that WT has had an inordinate amount of down time...some, agreed, but not terrible. And MF's problems are mostly associated with the cable lift.
LSMs have been around for a while now. Maverick will be just fine. And with extra time for testing before May '07, I'm expecting an exceptional opening.
My author website: mgrantroberts.com.
Not to be a jerk, but this ride uses LSM's, not LIM's.
