I would think two straight standing structures, probably close to the same height directly next two each other would look odd. I think your right and the middle of the peninsula's a great spot for one but instead of putting it directly next to Power Tower, they could easily fit it in by the train station/luminosity area. A space spiral isn't a huge footprint. They could make it work over there I would think.

I can't imagine another observation tower being built but if it ever did happen Id like to see one placed in the back of the park, possibly near Maverick to give you good views of the park and the bay/lake/islands.
Well maybe they could move that one flat ride that's next to Power Tower over a little to the right. Like I said, Power Tower never uses that much queue anymore so if they deleted a little bit of it, they could move that flat ride to the right just five yards down and then build a new observation tower in the former footprint of that flat ride. Forgive me for not knowing what ride that is next to Power Tower. Lol
That flat ride would be Super Himalaya.
CP Top 5: 1) Steel Vengeance 2) Maverick 3) Magnum 4) Raptor 5) Millennium
That's a poor location in my opinion for an observation tower. Though, I don't feel that they need one anyway.

Yeah but If you want to go up high and take pictures, they come in handy. You can't do that on Power Tower or Windseeker.
Never understood the fascination with taking pictures of the tops of rides covered in seagull crap.

The soonest they could re-locate Super Himalaya would be 2018. That's the time when the people currently in line will finally be off the ride. I swear I've never seen such a slow ride cycle in my life.
I think the area in between Millennium's final overbank and the train would be perfect for a new observation tower. Currently it's just a bunch of wasted space with unused concrete. It's about in the middle of the park, and being closer to the bay will result in great views of both the water and park.
I honestly love observation decks/towers/anything with a view, especially at amusement parks. Sure, Power Tower, WindSeeker, and the few seconds going up roller coasters and the top of Dragster are nice, but I'd love something every guest can enjoy, spend time at, and take pictures.
This shows that something the size of Space Spiral would definitely fit here:

This idea of a new observation tower still intrigues me. I know it isn't much of a priority, but still a neat feature nonetheless.

It can be run fast....I have no idea why operations for it slowed down. Hell I liked working that ride, you literally run in a circle, pull a belt, and pull a bar, it's quite easy. The little "hills" are also one fantastic workout as well, my legs got built quick because of it.
But I agree, it's slowed down alot, and it really shouldn't. The ride in terms of small flats can eat alot of people if each seat has 2-3 honestly.
