^Dont say that, even if you disregard the SF park that caused MF and TTD's troubles you still have LC and Canobie Lake to give you some excellent wood coasters ;).
As for the idea for a sign, I would love to see the old logo made into a sign like MF's but with Red text with Silver trim, it would look sweet.
To get back on topic...
How about they tear down the metal fence that runs along the Magnum queue and replace it with a textured white concrete wall with a railing on top that matches the ornamental design of the station platform. For a sign, duplicate the logo that appears on the station roof section, but put that on a vertical extension on top of the new wall, with the logo "right justified" against the queue entrance. The idea here is to tie the station and the queue together in some kind of coherent fashion.
Oh, and either eliminate the old Freeway entrance, or get a chain and sign for the main entrance that says, "<-- Please use short entrance <--"

I dont think I like that idea, concrete gets hot. While the fence isnt too photogenic either, I would be much more for pushing it back and adding a row of bushes that eventually would grow to be a natural fence to hide the necisssary real one. Or an even cheaper option would be to add some signs to the queue to talk about the history of the ride (10 years at #1, first hyper coaster, started the modern age, etc) given the amount of coaster geeks that go through CP Im sure it would be a huge hit.

I don't think I understand your logic. How does concrete getting hot make it bad? I think that's the best idea that has been posted. I would look good and what would be even better that it would match the station, making the area more recognizable.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
i think maybe the fact that people would be standing against the wall touching it would be the problem with it getting hot. mybe some strong plastic lookalike of concrete would work, but somehow making it tie into the station would be amazing. This roller coaster has so much history that renovating it would be the greatest thing CP could spend their money on.
