Ok.

The issue was more the unprotected (unmanned) Freeway gate that people would mistake for an entrance. I don't think we'll see a sign for Magnum, and anything besides the Storm Trooper won't do.

I agree with Jugga. A sign would be great, but I've never heard of someone having a hard time finding Magnum. I'm sure there are some however.

I'd like to see a sign. I think the ride is deserving of a better entrance than what it has in light of what the other major attractions in the park have.

Some "Cedar Fair fencing" along the queues to keep out the line jumpers would be a nice cheap improvement for CP to make and show that they still "get it."

As far as the freeway entrance - tear it up and plant grass since it was unneeded in the first place.

Oh and a new control booth that doesn't leak would rock too, but now we're pushing it! :)

CLEARLY, you have not worked the entrance of Magnum.

I think for a CP newbie, Magnum is probably the hardest ride to find. The queue is totally hidden behind massive pine trees (which is good for shade), the entrance to the ride is basically "hidden", and the most visible part of the ride is the exit. So, I can see how people would be confused. Heck, I'd even see people going in the FreeWay entrance by mistake.

Bring on the new sign!! :)

While there at it, they should add a sign to mean streak and corkscrew.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Last season alone, while walking through the queue, I saw three different groups walk into the line, look at the station and lift hill, then stand there and argue about what ride they were in line for. You gotta remember that people leave 75% of their IQ at home when they visit CP.

^^The difference between Magnum and Meanstreak and Corkscrew is that Meanstreak's and Corkscrew's entrances' are obvious. You can clearly see the Corkscrew station from the line entrance and Meanstreak is the only thing around its entrance. Magnum's entrance looks to enter into a mini forest then eventually to a station. Magnum's lift hill isn't anywhere near its entrance so people don't really have a landmark to follow. If they put a nice Magnum sign to the left or right of the entrance, similar to Millennium's that would make it obvious.

Mean Streak doesn't need a sign by the entrance, but one out on the midway indicating which way to go to get to the entrance would be a good idea. Although I really don't know if people are not finding the ride, but I could see how they could. Even if its obvious as to where the entrance is on a coaster, I think each coaster should get its own sign. It doesn't have to be large and very "out there" like Millennium's sign, but some sort of sign for each one would be cool.

But I think a new Magnum sign would be nice.

^I think Maverick might help Mean Streak's situation.

Power Tower needs one, too. I'm pretty sure that nearly everyone who visits the park for the first time thinks that the entrance for Power Tower is the entrance for Corkscrew.

I don't get it because most parks' big attractions all have big signs, yet several of CP's don't. *** Edited 3/21/2007 2:09:25 AM UTC by southpuddle***

Yeah, what they really need to do is install a nice tall fence from the station, wrapping around the queue, behind Pretzel Fillers to the entrance.

Meanstreak is the hardest for me. I know where it is but I forget sometimes how to get there.

Am I the only one that thinks Blue Streak is deserving of a better entrance?

It's just weird how it was changed. I realize they were trying to keep the front of the station as original as possible but it's pretty crazy how you have to enter it.

I'll vouch for anyone who says they've seen or heard people who dont know where Magnums entrance is or if theyre in the correct line and still have no idea. I've been asked a few times as well. Though they were families that most likely didnt know one bit about CP....which isnt something we fans can help.
I dont mind answering questions like that.....especially when Im in my Dragster polo since it looks like I work at the park whenever I wear it. It's fooled many a people, including ride ops and employees.:) When I was at the Tacobell/Long John Silvers on 250 (dont ask why), I was asked if I worked at Dragster and if it was going to be open. I just went with it and asked their questions. lol:)

Did you ask their questions in the form of an answer like you were a Jeopardy contestant? :)

Well I dont remember any part of the conversation being anything like:
"Is Dragster going to be open today?"
"What is the question I get asked everytime I wear this shirt?"
:)
