^ Uh, where did that come from? Unless your thinking of Millennnium, you must be color blind. (Not to be mean if you actually are.)

As I was exiting Magnum, People were at the exit asking me where to get on the ride at.
I just told them to follow me, because I was heading back onto it.
This has happened at least 3 times last year.
GATEKEEPER-I came, I rode, I was mildly disappointed; until a second ride (rear left) put GateKeeper back on the...it's a nice ride list.
I can vouch that people get in line for Magnum without knowing what ride they are getting on. A young child (over 48" of course) happened to sit in the train with me (I was a single rider). He leaned over to me and said "are we going to go up that big moly orange hill over there?" Ok, so he didn't say "moly orange", but he did ask if we were going over that hill. He certainly was surprised when I told him that was the ride he was on. In fact he started to have a slight panic attack. I told him it was a fun ride, etc... But sadly he did not enjoy the ride at all. By the time we got back to the station he was almost in tears, and his hands were permanently gripped to the "grab bar". I don't know what ride he was looking for by getting in the Magnum queue, but it certainly wasn't the ride he was looking for.

Gotta agree with Loopy. Blue Streak, apart from its bizarre queue configuration, deserves more respect in the signage department. How about some nice, colorful arch over the entrance, with large letters that spell out the ride's name? That wouldn't be too hard to do.

Whats amazing to me is as far as entrance design goes, Wicked Twister probably has the most elaborate entrance area, with the plaza with the flags, along with the light up sign on the station.... even the queue entrance has the fancy "Entrance" sign above it.
Millennium has the big sign, and Dragster only has the sign near the entrance... unless you consider the Grandstands to be a part of the "entrance" area.

TTD has a very large plaza with the grandstand and sign. They did have to put signs pointing to the entrance though.

Dragster's sign is one of my favorites. I only wish they had a path from the locker area over toward Magnum.
All in need of signs:
Magnum
Power Tower
Blue Streak (put something at the corner of the pirate ride building. A retro golden age coaster style sign would be cool)
Mean Streak (pointing down that alley that leads to the RR crossing)
Disaster Transport (I know it may seem obvious, but a lot of people have no idea what it is or even the name. There is only a hard to read sign off to the far side and the A-frame)

DT is such a crappy ride, it doesn't desverve a sign.
I do like the idea of a nice sign for BS (maybe lit up with marquee lights or in one of the planters inside the plaza). Something classic...
As for a sign for Mean Streak, right at the corner by the pond before you split and head for CCMR, Wave Swinger, ect, with some simple arrows would work well.
Magnum needs a sign similar in size to Mantis's right at the corner of en entrance would work.

I agree on those rides Rider. Speaking of signs, Id like to see points of interest signs around the park. Signs that tell you which midway to take or which direction to go in order to find a ride. I know the park has maps throughout the park, but signs that point out the larger rides would be a lot faster to read then a map for the every day park guest. This is something that I'm surprised the park has never done.

99er, good point. CP is so big that unless you know how to get around, you'll get lost. I know I did on my first day there.

I guess it would also be nice to have those because if you are like me, you don't like to get out your park map every 10 minutes trying to figure out where to go next. If you exit a ride a see a sign telling you which way to go to the next large ride, that is faster.
Even better, tell the wait times at the other rides. But now I am just asking for way to much:)
Yeah, you can put warning and cation signs around DT and paint CONDEMED over the 12E on side of it.
Caution: The ride you are about to ride will be the worst coaster here. Ride at your own disappointment!
WARNING: "Even Mr. Kinzel admits the ride was a mistake!"
CAUTION: " Unllike other rides at this park,You will never want to ride this coaster again!
WARNING: "This coaster SUCKS!"
CAUTION: "We called it DISASTER TRANSPORT for a good reason.
Should I go on?

Wicked Twister does have an elaborate plaza, but its for the exit. LOL!! That's what I always found odd.
^ Even worse, I have a friend who has been there more than I have. The other day he asked me where exactly the entrance to WT is. I guess even the best signs aren't clear enough for all? :)
Okay, what are some OTHER signs that should be installed at CP?

I would mind a new sign in the entrance plaza. Maybe a huge jumbotron type sign with an animation of the cedar point logo.
Okay. The entrace plaza's been overdue for an overhaul anyway.

most of the newer rides have good signs, but some of the older rides that I would like to see have a sign upgrade include Gemini, Mean Streak, Blue Streak especially because the entrance is hidden behind Raptor, and a sign for Magnum at the entrance to the queue.
