How about part of soak city?(If there was logical way for people to pay just one addmission price and experiance both the park and soak city huants)
This could actually work because soak city is closed during HW anyway. So it's not like people will be able to sneak away and go on water slides.
Also.. What is johns twitter?
This tweet made me quite happy! :)

There is other parks that have Pirate themed zones run by Cedar Fair, I can see them taking a name from one of them and using it here.
I'd be ok with this. Oh, and that should say "there are other parks..."
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
I think "adventure island" was a great place for it because there were all those trees around you which actually made it feel as if you were walking through the jungle on a real pirate island. Sure they can stick all those boxes and treasure somewhere else, but you just wont get the same feeling without all the trees around.
Yeah, how about bringing the old Pirate Ride back (the exterior that is) and have it be a walk-through attraction? LOL. So I take it this means the Dinosaurs will be open for Halloweekends? Not sure if parts of the Shoot the Rapids layout can be used, in the same manner Thunder Canyon is used...probably too narrow.
During Haunt at Kings Island, your admission to the Dinosaurs Alive attraction also got you the ability to go "Trick or Treating". I imagine, the rest of the parks will do the same.

I'm starting to wonder if Luminosity will be Cedar Point's version of ElecTRONica at Disney California Adventure in the sense of a nighttime event that covers an area of the park. And perhaps like the DCA event they could sell novelty drinks (which apparently has made considerable money for the park) and special foods along with the usual nighttime glowing stuff. People always talk about the lack of nighttime activity at the park and the resorts, something like that might be able to address both in a way.
