I like the idea of a new Blue Streak midway with Pirate Ride going away for a new flat.
Maybe a nice large Zamperla Air Race?

Get over your nonsense, and announce.
It's not nonsense. It's marketing.

I don't know.
You could call it marketing, but to who, exactly?
Anyone following Tony Clark on Twitter does not need marketed to, and anyone reading this certainly does not either.
More like a light dusting of vague remarks to keep an almost-extinguished fire of excitement alive.
I'll check back in a few days. :)
Promoter of fog.
Has any one noticed that fears faire I think that is what it was called is not on the halloweekends list of attractions this year?

Migraine sponsored by Advil should be Blue Streak or Magnum's new name, both of those have gotten much worse than Mean Streak over the years (okay the second half of Magnum). Mean Streak has gotten better.:-)
I've been riding Magnum since it opened and Blue Streak since the 70's and neither ride is any rougher since then. As it has always been, you do get thrown around on the Magnum bunny hops, but that is what makes them fun! I think people are getting older and can't take the dynamics of the ride like they could in their younger days, so they complain about the ride getting rougher when that is not the case.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
Magnum, Blue Streak, and Mean Streak are to rough?? If Mean Streak wasn't rough it would be called Nice Streak.

What happened to page 86?
Confirmed, new attraction is 86 ft tall...
Thunder Canyon opened in 1986, it's being replaced...
This would be interesting now, wouldn't it?

The thing I hate most is when companies treat their customers like idiots. We know a new ride is coming. Announce it.
You act like they are intentionally delaying the announcement just to piss you off. :)
The timing of an announcement can be affected by any number of things: readying of marketing materials, attraction renderings, coordinating with announcements from other Cedar Fair parks. If that date ends up being X, then it's going to X even if enthusiasts prematurely reach a frenzied state. Who knows? Maybe X is still a moving target. Besides, it's not like they've launched some official marketing campaign toward an announcement. Fans have taken a small amount of teasing and turned it into two hour Dateline special with Keith Morrison. Not that we aren't thrilled to play host to the madness. :)
I agree with Walt. I'd like to know right now as much as the rest of you, but my guess is that CP planned the announcement date a long time ago, and they're just sticking to their guns. I'm pretty sure that's the case. The CP advertising/promotion team is probably just as eager to share as we are to hear...but then again...this is a pretty long time to wait. haha
I guess it's true that a watched pot never seems to boil.
