New for 2015

I'd be surprised they could justify the cost for something of that stature.

If there is something on my coaster wish list for a park to build it would indeed be topped off by that 400' Intamin you mention.

A 400' Intamin sounds like a very expensive recipe for disaster.

Since we're firmly in silly wish list mode, I'll go with a B&M hyper or giga.

I think Next weekend will tell us a little more about what is coming for 2015. I know a lot of work didn't start on Gatekeeper till this time 2 years ago. since the park will be closed for 3 and a half days before guest will be coming to cedar point they can really start working with out people around. I think by next Sunday we will have a few more clues of what is going on or were this will be going.

The park will be closed for 6 days next week. They are closed Friday and Saturday.

Breakers is indeed an impressive renovation and project for CP. CF is spending more than 60 million on Breakers over the course of 2 years or so. That level of investment in the Cedar Point (Resort) shows just how valuable the park is to CF.

The exterior renovations that were completed this past year at Breakers look great, and on top of this CP installed 2 new rides as well as the updated Gemini Midway. I'd say that is a very impressive list of improvements for one season.

In all honesty, if it wasn't for CP saying that a new attraction is on the way for 2015 I would not have expected much at all in terms of investment this off season. Perhaps just refurbishing and maintaining buildings etc... Whatever does end up coming on top of Breakers is definitely a bonus.

That's pretty believable, since it will probably be a good conclusion to the park's summer season.

Blue Streak Midway update with poor old totally neglected Calypso getting some love?

They've turned the "screwing with the rumor mill" up a notch.

Platinum has it's perks. So does living exactly 97.5 miles from King's Island and Cedar Point

When results come so easily, it must be hard to resist. :)

Or perhaps they just love trolling all the enthusiasts...

The only bad thing with that is expectations get raised... So if they don't deliver, it will get really annoying fast with everyone complaining on what they didn't do.

Time will tell... We can only hope Mean Streak finally gets the axe.

so, this is in the realm of crazy, but it was a dream I had last night. I dreamt that they built a wildcat right where Cedars dorms stand.

Just a note, I was looking under what is available to purchase as for renewing my platinum pass, and noticed that for 2015 Platinum Pass holders will have the option for the season meal plan at all CF parks for $99

Friday the 5th and Saturday the 6th are only closed to the public. The park was bought out for those 2 days for a private event.

Closed topic.
