Orlando is getting a 570' one in 2016 and Vegas might get one over 600' by the end of the decade. CP would have to shoot for 700' if they want a lasting record. That being said, given Tony's post, there won't be anything over 500'.

I don't believe that anyone said that tomorrows announcement has to do with 2015. Unless someone has and I'm wrong...

Which one are you talking about, The red one or the Teal one? That red track could be headed to CP...

The teal one. I would say CP doesn't need another red coaster, but they also don't need a teal one either (so many blues and reds!)

Hey everyone I'm new here. I've been following this thread for awhile now and have never thought to make an account.

I have a couple ideas what could happen for 2015/16.

-MS becomes King James for half of 2015 and then gets RMC for 2016 with another possible name change, possibly something with rougarou or something with its original name.

-Mantis could be repainted and possibly converted to a floor less coaster and be named rougarou

-Blue Streak Midway could be revamped with a Raptor entrance relocation, a dark ride or flat ride in PR buildings spot, and has anybody considered a Blue Streak RMC? I know it's not the biggest or fastest but it would be easier for RMC because of their Six Flags projects. Maybe it would break most inversions? It's a long shot but it could be possible.

-Mine Ride removal for a GCI woodie? The GCI could be a new attraction for 2015 and be rougarou because of the swampy area and MS could possibly start its RMC conversion and be finished 2016 as the first Hyper RMC.

-One last idea. Possible Gemini RMC? I know I have a lot of ideas for RMC, but Cedar Point has lacked cutting edge recently. They need to try something new. Gatekeeper was their first wing rider, but it's similar to raptor in a way. Cedar Point needs to get back out there and be stellar. But Gemini would make an awesome RMC

I agree with this, it'll probably just be the renaming of the coaster.

Shooting a you tube announcement video with Lebron James is easier when the park is closed to general public.

That could be true. Having Lebron come in for the announcement. Could draw huge publicity to the park. I'm just bummed because I'll be in school for the announcement and will have to wait the rest of the day.

What could cedar point do to get national attention to the park due to a new ride. It almost seems that all of the crazy ideas are already taken. The only topics that i can think of are a hyper woodie, a launched woodie, and a launched flying coaster which we know b&m could make and probalby would get the most attention.

A launched Mean streak would be BOSS

1. I don't think Mine Ride is going anywhere and has nothing to do with CP2015
2. Any possibility that a new coaster next year could be called King James? instead of just renaming a coaster already in the park.

probably would of have said something like last chance to ride mean streak forever this labor day

I don't think Mine Ride is going anywhere either. It was just a thought. I could maybe somewhere in their give year plan.
