New for 2014

I would be down for repainting TTD, among other things.

I hope you mean REpainting it the same colors (or it's "original" colors.)

Saw that too, I'm Thinking Beach Area Reduced.

even though I think he did that to make fun of us!

You know what else does not make sense?

The Chewbacca defense.

That...does not...make sense.

Promoter of fog.

Bahaha I love that non sequitur Kevin. I honestly thought the Millennium picture was just a red... no make that blue... herring.

Yes! That's exactly what I'd like to see. It would solve some of the problems that have been talked about for a while with the under utilized beach, nightlife, and boardwalk ideas all at the same time.
Good job on that rendering. BTW, why no more talk of a dark ride? Alot of us miss the old ones.

I have a dumb question on here. I know people want the boardwalk, but wouldn't it sink during the winter months?

Not really sure what you mean. How would it sink? Does wicked twister sink? That's right on the beach.

As for that photoshop rendering, I would not call that parking lot on the beach a "boardwalk".

I'm all in for the boardwalk. Fingers crossed!

I'm completely baffled. Although I hope it'll be a boardwalk, I just don't see that large of an expenditure right after GateKeeper.

Wouldn't it be interesting if that tent area next to Windseeker became a dual use area boardwalk for activity during and AFTER hours.

A well lit gathering place with a couple of booths open for after hours night life.

Thats probably a little to close to the hotel for a "nightlife" type of thing.

On twitter he said they're "swamped" with CP2014... Another clue?

This makes me think of the lagoons around Iron Dragon and CCMR.

This isn't in a considered area though so I don't really think it is a clue unless all of our guesses are way off.

There is a "pond" at the turnaround of Magnum, and the track and supports are exactly like the track clue, but that is in the middle of nowhere.

But on a serious note, studying the Bing maps I noticed that there is a new building(post Ocean motion being removed) at the far end of the tent area closest to the hotel. It has a cut up hip roof line and is blue.. Can anyone tell me what that is? Bathroom facility and service building that was built as part of this multi year corridor plan?

What do you think of this picture? Wood grain?

He calls it blurry and zoomed in.

What if it's about STR, extreme makeover, "swamped".

It kinda looks like MillForce in the last blurred pic...maybe something to replace the rubber dinos on the island?

No matter what Cedar Point does for 2014, I find the diversity in fan speculation to be most interesting. The announcement will be made in less than 24 hours, and yet we still have ideas that fall all over the place, ranging from a new boardwalk area, including a new family coaster, to Top Thrill Dragster getting a blue color scheme (which I think would be the most tragic "addition" of them all). The Point seems to have been successful in keeping 2014's plans under wraps!

Why are so many people on the boardwalk bandwagon? Other than one incredibly blurry photo that *might* show some string lights, I see no evidence of this. Maybe I'm missing something...

Though I have little confidence in my own guessing ability, I expect to see some sort of park refresh (the painfully outdated Gemini midway is a good candidate) that includes new dining / entertainment options / experiences. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if there were no new ride at all. Ouimet seems keen to improve the park experience from other dimensions, and with a large new roller coaster added last year, this year seems a good one to focus on non-ride related improvements.

Well I guess what I meant is from that picture, it goes out further than Wicked Twister. Wouldn't that sink?

I was always rooting for a dark ride, or better yet, a dark ride flume but, in my opinion, a boardwalk would add so much to the lake atmosphere and pull it all together so I'd be all for that and wait, hopefully, for a dark ride next.

In all honesty, if they would actually have a family announce the refreshment of Gemini midway or renovations of the campgrounds then I'd think twice about playing this game again.

^ I agree about the family announcing. I keep thinking that it will probably be a relatively small upgrade until I remember that a family is doing the announcement. That makes me think that it has to be somewhat significant.
