Finally looking through this thread. Yikes. Lots of active imaginations, and a whole lot of anticipointment on the horizon.
Me? I'm pretty excited for what's coming.

Alright - I wasn't going to mention my thoughts - as the clues began to be released - for I thought my views would be so far fetched as to not be believable. However, as wrong as I hope I may be, I want to throw it out there before tomorrows announcement.
Tony's first clue was - "isn't it obvious?" The thought that came to me was Gemini. Why of all the places in the park would they put up the live feed cam on the Gemini midway looking at the coaster? (To see what is going on not during the season but during the off-season.) Why have they been testing Gemini trains on CCMR? (Because they are going to replace the original CCMR trains with Gemini trains.) What I see is an answer to Tony's first clue. The removal of Gemini for future development.
The coaster is 35 years old. It is antiquated in its design. It takes up a whole hell-ava-lotta space. Yes, it is a great family coaster, but CP has others in the same class of steel coasters - CCMR, Corkscrew. Remove the coaster and open up alot of space. Enough space to begin the "extreme makeover". Space for a new, hybrid coaster that can go back toward Lighthouse Point and Mean Streak (2016?). The removal of Gold dorms (or facilities off point) would open up space to relocate the facilities behind the Gemini restrooms. The rest of the space near Witches Wheel and Monster, including the midway area by the games and the Jr. Gemini ride area would allow for other attractions to be added, this year and in following years - dark ride (2015?), flat rides and wild mouse-type coaster (2014?), an expansion of Camp Snoopy (2014 and beyond), etc.
This would also open up room to allow for out of park projects as well for Challenge Park and Soak City, possibly a central plaza/night-life style area (a mini City Walk) centrally located between all of the attractions with a new rear entrance for the guests staying at Breakers, the campground, Lighthouse Point and Sandcastle. Maybe even a large stage in the central plaza that they can relocate Luminocity to. Certainly a family oriented area that those spending a few days on point can enjoy beyond the park itself.
Just a (big) thought.
