^Rumor is Canada's Wonderland because Wonder Mountain is getting some work done and it is believed it may be there.
Now that would be cool and keeping with tradition. I remember Paramount Parks testing the Scooby-Doo dark ride at Canada's Wonderland before bringing it to their other parks. I think many people underestimate Canada's Wonderland.
I know I've brought up the boardwalk idea several times but I just wanted to share a pic of an idea that I had for one. I'm not saying this is gonna happen this year, but it would be cool if it eventually did.
The rides are a flat spin, Calypso, flying scooter, and a wild mouse.

The waterpark could use an expansion though. They can go out onto the beach as much as they want.
On my last trip to Bubbles Swim Up Bar, I thought to myself it would be really fantastic if if were picked up and moved a few hundred feet closer to the lake. They could really do quite a bit with expanding some of Soak City in that direction.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
Well to me, after looking at both teaser pics it seems to be something to do with the beach area. Either it's something on the beach or near it.
Whatever CP has in store is gonna be cool. Can't wait for Tuesday :)
Has anyone heard what time the plans will be revealed Tuesday?
This is my first year going to CP,(and any amusement park) so this is also my first off season. Part of me is surprised at how interested and excited I am about the possible new additions for 2014. The closest thing I can think of for the level of anticipation is the first round of NFL draft (as a Browns fan it became the highlight more than the season at times.)
Love the idea of the Boardwalk; first time I was there I was surprised that the lake and beach wasn't more integrated with the park more. Although as far as lake Erie beaches go I always compare it to my local beach. Does it have less dead fish than Edgewater? So I set the bar low (although Edgewater has gotten a lot better this year.)
Hey guys,
I just wanted to let you know that CP probably won't be getting a dark ride next year.
I was searching through the coding of Wonderland's website last night and found a picture that shows mine tracks inside a mountain. After posting it on a forum, the park removed the image pretty much confirming that the ride will be a dark ride for Wonderland in 2014.
If you guys wanna see the picture, I archived it here: http://www.webcitation.org/6J4sh4eQ3
Not necessarily. Canada's Wonderland has a ride called Thunder Run that goes through the mountain. The picture may illustrate a refurbishment of that ride similar to what Knott's did to the log flume.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
My home park is wonderland and I've been following what's going on....a refurbishment isn't likely.
Okay, now I'm wondering if CP is putting in a woodie near the beach, considering the picture with the question marks.
I think the boardwalk idea is great and would really open the beach up more. I think it would be really cool to make it a retro Coney Island style area. Maybe they'll get rid of the Extreme Sports Stadium. Maybe they could add a covered deck dining area to the Coral Dining building. Since it's apparently the oldest building in the park, I think renovations should be done with historic consideration.
Dom497, what does it mean to search through coding on a website?

To search the coding on a website, you can usually go to view->source. On Chrome, you can basically see every detail in the page within the source code.
As for the picture above, by the looks of it, they are maybe adding something new to the campgrounds?
Then there's this on the OnPoint blog today.

Seems like possibly one clue a day until the announcement?

“It will be like the popular ABC show, ‘Extreme Makeover, Cedar Point Edition!’,” said spokesman Bryan Edwards.
Hmmmm, wonder what it will be? Blue Streak Midway? Wicked Twister Midway? Redoing Kiddie Kingdom? We will see on Tuesday!

True, but the picture was not there...it was in the park's css coding.

I just went through CP's css but there was nothing special...or maybe I missed something. If someone else feels like going through code (very boring!), click the link below.
So something is getting re-done.
A blurry picture of the campground.
Camp.
Snoopy.
Just a guess. But, if you have ever observed the original plans for camp snoopy, you'll see there is much to be desired with what actually came to the park.
This could take so many directions...
Promoter of fog.
Maybe part of the Lagoon that runs along Camp Snoopy will be filled in for expansion....but the family that won the contest has older kids...
Im going to say that the announcement will be what they are going to do with Hotel Breakers - upgrades, amenities, perks, packages, themes etc.

This was my initial thought but Thunder Run barely goes in the mountain. It really just amounts to a couple of tunnels, not enough to make that type of refurb possible. The work being done suggests that something large will occupy the inside of Wonder Mountain and from what I've heard, there is A LOT of room in Wonder Mountain for a new attraction.

If Cedar Point were to merely unify the theme of an area and make it look new and exciting, I'd be on board. At this point, I'm not sure if any of us are close.
