New for 2006 - Skyhawk

For everyone complaining about the concrete, it does appear that they are at least using wood for the queue rails if you look at that third picture. It will be a nice touch to have wooden rails rather than the big shiney silver ones.

Wooden queue posts would be cool, but I might be worried about getting splinters.

I'm sure they will fill those holes in with vegetation. The concrete was just poured, give it time.

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

Check the lower left corner of the webcam. Looks like a giant planter will be going there, as well as where that cherry picker is currently going.

Goodbye MrScott

Do I hear cherry tree replacing Cherry Picker?!

Whoops. I meant where the Cherry Picker is currently sitting. I hate Freud, especially when he slips.

I think that the Red Sox analogy is all wrong. It's not like CP has been trying for decades to get to the top. They've just spent a decade at the top and people are sad to see certain things slip, and the atmosphere is one of the things that we see changing, sometimes dramatically. And it may just be my opinion, but i would rather have kept the old midway instead of the big phallic dragster. I think that maybe for some people they fear that CP will be like the Indians being dismantled few years ago, only not on purpose with a purpose.

But then that's why we come here, to share our opinions, observations and thoughts... good and bad. Afterall where can ANY of us go in March and talk endlessly about an amusement park without people finding us a little odd? So lay off the, "i'm so sick of people complaining" crap. That's more annoying. To me at least ;)

Sorry i just rambled into what i dislike... someone on the soapbox. But it does get old having people bent about criticizms.

I don't mind hearing about the criticizms, it's the whining that drives me nuts.

Arent the complaints what CP wants to hear anyway? They have to hear whats wrong with the park to fix it...

MaRiJuAnA

If you want to complian about an Amusment Park, come visit Paramount Canada's Wonderland... You guys forget how good you have it, you should appreciate what CP does, And I'm sure CP can figure out there own problems for themselves.

^Right.

We have two of the only 3 running coasters over 300 feet and you want a higher one. We have a park that is known for having the most roller coasters and they actually run all of them. CP is the only park that has more than 2 rides in the top 15 coasters list (they have 4). Be thankful you have a park that builds great rides and are in no way going anywhere but up. Out of all the companies that own just amusement parks, CF is in the best shape.

Some people hear make a trip to CP and because you waited in line for food a couple extra minutes more than you did in 1995, CP is now going down hill and you now have to rethink that season pass for next year. For me, as long as CP is around, I'll be there every year.

I've noticed all the things mentioned here that you say are bringing CP down, but to me, they don't seem like a big deal, never came close to wreaking my trip. *** Edited 3/24/2006 8:16:14 PM UTC by Gomez***

The only thing that wrecks my trips is the weather. Other than that, I never really notice the bad things that are mentioned on here. Heck, the only complaint I've ever had (and emailed to CP) was the cleanliness of some of the roofs of certain coasters last year. Specifically the amount of spider webs (and egg sacks) and chewed gum. Dragster and Millennium had a huge amount of empty spider egg sacks and I'm sure you all know which coaster I'm talking about when I say chewed gum.;)

Well, Dragster isn't too bad.

Well I was referring to Raptor. Though I distinctly remember it getting pressure washed last year.

-Adam G- The OG Dragster nut

People are idiots. Why they choose to spit their gum anywhere but in the trash or toilet (NOT urinals) is beyond me. Sticking it in public view leads them to think they have earned some sort of "Badge of Courage". And it does. They are idiots.

Well Mantis Has a lot of it too, I think more then Raptor. I swear Cedar Creek Mine Ride has a dirty roof on it as well, but I like that point you made up. As far a couple of you said up above on this page, I don't complain too much about Cedar Point, but what I do is just make sugguestions. Even if its just a teaser of something we all know that wont come. So I'm with you Gomez! Everytime I go I say to myself man what if my home park was Michigan Adventure or like the other dude said Paramounts Canada Wonderland. Then We'd be upset. So I'm very thankful to have Cedar Point in the Great State of OHIO.

TTD 120mph's avatar

I totally agree with you Scott. Last year I was behind a group of 18, 19 year olds and they were hitting one of the concrete columns with their gum and started to cheer for some...stupid reason. I mean you must have the attention span of a gerbil to find throwing gum on a concrete support entertaining!!! It was like watching a bunch of chimpanzees at a zoo throwing feces at each other........well at least that’s what I would compare it to.:)

Stupid people are everywhere. For some reason Cedar Point just seems to always contain more than their fair share of them.
