They better not get rid of the model. They have no reason to, it's a part of Cedar Point history.

Yeah I hope they keep the model of it as well. Because over the years people might forget how the ride layout used to be and forget how the ride used to be. One Model in the Musuem that I find really cool is the Mean Streak one! I bet that had to take forever to do because the wood they used for it.
they are just protecting them from the weather. As stated before, they have a lot of electrical to do still. I don't think they could test them like that though. I'm sure once they are ready to test they will remove the covering.

What I was going to ask is... why are there individual floors when it looks like there not needed?
It looks to me like S&S came up with some special type of lap restraint(not surprising) to suit this ride... so why the floor?
Then again, will you even notice the floor when riding?

Well you should be able to notice them.....since your feet will be on them at one point during the ride.:)
But my guess is that it will act as an added safety feature. Dont forget that the height limit is only 48" so there will be youngsters (who range in that limit) riding it.

I can believe that, though I don't have much trouble with it.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
The first time I rode WT I was waiting for the floor to drop and then 123 wwwuuussshhh it launched (I thought my feet were going to hit the floor on the way back). It made for an exciting ride though.:)

RIDE ON, and ON and ON and ON and ON and ON...
I just kind of Hop in to get into Wicked Twister. I'm like 5'7 and I still feel short when it comes to Wicked Twister but I still love t he ride. It's still awesome, and I ride it like 5-10 times a day because there is usually no waiting on it. Well there is but it usually is like 20 minutes, but towards the end of the evening towards closing you can get off and get back on again.
Thats funny, on wicked twister, I didn't have to 'hop' in to the seat at all, I just sat down...
But yeah, I guess the floor can used for that, it still seems pointless to me though...

I don't know, I'm almost 6 feet tall... all I know is that I'm too tall to ride Top Gun at Wonderland.
All I can remember is waiting in line for it.
How did this turn into a Wicked Twister topic?
I'm looking forward to riding Skyhawk, I'm there all opening week so I'll get plenty of rides each morning! Eh, Millennium Force, TTD and maXair are open in the morning too right?(like for hotel guests)
