New for 2006 - Skyhawk

I don't mean to keep posting after myself, but has anyone know if the seats for Skyhawk are around yet? Everything seems to be coming along well, but you just wonder if there are seats on site yet.

I guess time will only tell. I think we might see them next week or the end of this week.
Plus, did anyone else notice that it looks like they're hooking up the cables?

I don't think it will take much time at all, Adam. Things seem to be moving very fast.

Yeah youre right, they're already on site.:) http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/inside_park/webcam/camera3.cfm

They have now covered the seats up with a blue tarp so I doubt they will go on today.

From todays report from the onblog, they should be putting the seats on soon. Just wait, if we have the seats installed now, we could see testing going on by at least Mid February. The off-season can be just as exciting as the season at times, although I love being there more! Cedar Point is the Best!!

Is it me or does Tony & Tyler not like me? I keep sending them questions and comments on the page they submit, but they never show mine. It's like they don't like me or something. Does anyone else not see their post added to the onpoint entries?

How come no one responds to my posts?

Read the last "Now you talk" entry. They answer your question. And what are we susposed to say? No Tony & Tyler don't like you. :)

They've mentioned before that they get so many comments and questions that they don't have time to awnser them all. But they do read them and some get saved for times like this where the Blog entry has no specific topic other than to clear out some questions. Others specific to a planed future topic may get saved for when ever that topic is brought up.

I'm sure they just delete questions like what's going on over at the WWL site, or what ride might cedar point be getting in 2007, etc.

And then make up excuses as to why they "dont" know when they actually post a question relating to it. lol ;)

But yeah don't worry Shawn, T&T dont hate you. Believe me I've asked my share of questions without answer. I dont hate them.:)

Just put yourself in their shoes.

I have a question for anyone who has ridden a Screamin Swing before, is the motion a lot like the motion of Ocean Motion at Cedar Point. I have a friend who can't ride Ocean Motion because it makes her sick (any other ride at CP and she's fine, including the spin-n-pukes) If she were to ride this do you think she would get sick?
Thanks

I can ride anything, except those swingy rides. Feels like getting kicked in the brothers to me.

maXair is OK, though...which is odd.

I think the intensity will be much higher on Skyhawk then on Ocean Motion. In My opinion, I think there will be a feeling of airtime on skyhawk, almost like MaXair.

Throughout the construction of SH, the size was not impressing me. Its not that I thought it was small, rather I thought it just looked small.

Now that the seats are on (which gives a good measure of the scale), I have to say that it looks absolutely enormous! I've still got some dramamine left over from last year (when I was gonna ride MaxAir on closing day - don't get me started there), and I can hardly wait until May. :)

The construction isn't quite over yet. Don't forget they're hooking up most of the electrical work and I'm sure after thats all done they'll be pouring concrete for the queue. Grass will be planted in the spring time too so that might make Skyhawk look even bigger. I can tell you one things for sure, riding Cedar Creek Mine Ride will feel really different this year...lol

lol Yeah, now Ill go on it becuase of SH:). But after all, isn't that one of the other reasons why Skyhawk is being built; to bring attendence up in that area of the park?

I don't see how riding CCMR will really be affected that much. The only time you go to that side of the station is to line up with the lift hill, and you spend most of that time in shed. The rest of the time will be spent on the otherside where nothing is really changing.

Maybe a more accurate statement would be:

Riding CCMR will sound very different this year!
