^ You are right. It would fit perfectly with its 24 person an hour capacity. Plus people are going to want to pay for it in the park so yeah its just a great fit.

I just don't think that is accurate at all because why would it cost more to move Wicked Twister than Magnum?
Its 1/2 of what a NEW ride would cost, not 1/2 of what the ride cost a couple of decades ago!
In 1992 Magic Springs moved a 3340 ft woodie from Florida to Arkansas. According to rcdb: "Cost: Purchased from Boardwalk and Baseball for $10,000. Relocation and reconstruction however brought the total investment to nearly $900,000."
This Isn't A Hospital--It's An Insane Asylum!
^^Okay, I will use a better example.
Xcelorator was 13 million. /2 = 7.5 million to move.
Wicked Twister was 10 million. /2 = 5 million to move.
Why would it cost only 2.5 million more to move triple the amount of track on Xcelorator? The only thing I can think of is that it really doesn't make sense on the half cost theory.

I suspect the cost would vary wildly, depending on the ride in question. In other words, it's probably not a very good model.
My author website: mgrantroberts.com.
First, a slingshot would most certainly go into challenge park if CP got one, as it would be an up-charge attraction. Not happening in 2011 if the new attraction is going where we are seeing markings.
Second, and perhaps I'm way off base here, I would think that they would design an attraction around WT, rather then design something that forced its move. Let's say it's a coaster...it's not as if companies have designs to choose from like RCT...they design it for your park.
I don't know...the more I look at DD's area and the area we are discussing, there seems to be quite a bit of stuff "in the way" that would need to be removed for something to span the whole area. Looking forward to what clues are to come.
Promoter of fog.
Move the swinging ship ride to Demon Drop's spot. Take Chaos completely out. Does that free up any space for a ride? Are they close enough for a ride to fit in those spots? I have no idea as I rarely visit the front of the park.
Let's Get Weird.
It would be pretty stretched out to fit.

Most of space between is midway. For it to happen, the stadium would have to go, which I still think is a longshot just because it still has uses and a would be a lot of work to remove.

I just want to mention how much I love Bing's bird's eye view... especially in the Maverick area... because sometimes you see WWL there, but if you move around and go back to the spot, Maverick could be there... depending on what piece of map is loaded.
They could be building a coaster that goes over the midway like diamondback...That is if it's even a coaster.
If it is a coaster, it could start out where the demon drop was, go to the beach, down the beach to where the stadium is, and do u turnaround back down the beach and back to demon drop site.
Just an idea....
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
If it were something real epic it could follow that route you pointed out, crazy, but before the turnaround, it could dip in and play around a little bit in the area we saw the construction markings.
I would hate it if they relocated Wicked Twister. It's location right now is perfect! The view out to the lake from the station and queue is awesome, not to mention seeing the 2 twisted towers while walking down the boardwalk toward the beach entrance of the park.
If the new ride were to go in the area by Ocean Motion, my guess would be that they will take out the picnic/banquet party area that is right there next to it. It would be nice to see some life over there
I know people generally would like a "boardwalk" type renovation, but I still think Mean Streak has the edge for first coaster to get some "attention".
Consider:
So, if you (and me) stop thinking like an enthusiast for a second, which coaster makes more sense to replace first?

^ Mean Streak in my opinion has the biggest disadvantage of any roller coaster in the park. Partly because it is hidden unless someone is in Frontier Town, and the other reason of not having any attraction close enough to it.
-Mean Streak could take advantage of the middle area by using a curved drop. It would be nice to see the rides lift hill a little taller and then have huge curved drop. Then the ride could have a few airtime hills before going back on to the normal track.
-Timberliners would be great for this ride.

^ I agree with that statement too! There is no attraction close to it at all! But if you Bing map Cedar Point, there is plenty of space in between Gemini and Blue Streak for a large flat ride or tower type ride or something! A lot of people think Gemini and Mean Streak are the same ride from a distance. Not to mention, the entrance is kind of hard to find.
-People also say that the maintenance on the ride costs to much plus it is to extensive. In some ways, I agree. I think a great overtime fix for the ride would be steel supports used on all of the Gravity Group rides.
-The track itself is not in the best condition, in this case, I would get the whole ride re-tracked so Timberliners could be used for the ride.
-Timberliner trains are not only comfortable, but they also are supposed to reduce maintenance on the track.
It would cost at least 6 million dollars to fulfill all what needs to be done on the ride. Timberliners and a whole retracking of the ride could probably make the ride one of the most enjoyable coasters in the par. I already love Mean Streak but with so many people complaining about the ride, it would be a great fix.

Well went to CP over the weekend and There are many areas they could put a coaster. But the best would be where they paint markings are. But OM has to goes somewhere, not sure where?I dont think it would look to good where DD was just bc i think it should be near water. But i guess they could make a nice pond/fountain deal around to freshin it up. Ok back to the new stuff lol. Hope to see a good woodie go in to hopefully replace MS! then 2012 take out MS and expand the park as MS takes up so much space. Put in 1 or 2 good coasters, a flat or 2 and some eating spots, and last but not least a new gate! I tried out sandcastle and nice hotel but that walk sucks after being in the park all day. It would be nice to see a gate up there for sandcastle and lighthouse point. All just ideas.

I second that motion.
This Isn't A Hospital--It's An Insane Asylum!
Why?
The gate that is there now, is close to sandcastle as it is.
Besides that, sandcastle is over half empty anyways.

It is a 10 minute walk in tops. I always found it convenient when I have stayed there in the past. Isn't there a shuttle anyways?
