Cyclone was more in the area where Disaster Transport sits now. Probably the closest a coaster has ever gotten to the location in question was the first Wildcat. It was located where the All Wheels Extreme stadium is now.
Actually Jumbo Jet was closer. It sat where DT is now.
Same difference, different decade.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.

Me and my friend were supposed to go to holiday world this weekend, but due to car problems, we ended up doing half a day at cedar point.
I was able to snap some pictures of the new construction markers and other holiday related things at the park.

But I thought you swore off Cedar Point? Amazing how some car trouble can change your mind. Welcome back to the point.

I am most curious about the stakes on the beach and what they mean. At any point a guest can come along and pull it out. So are they marking somethings precise location?
I was thinking the same thing.
With all those people on the beach last night for the fireworks, I wonder if anyone messed with them?

I wouldn't be surprised. Or at least knocked down with the amount of people moving around.

What was wrong with your experience at Perkins? I had breakfast there on Sat. and though it was good.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
Other than paying park prices, I enjoyed my breakfast too. I will eat there again.

We ate dinner there.
We got there about 10 till 8, and did not get seated untill 8:40. We were told it was a 25 min wait, and ended up waiting almost an hour. We would have gone somewhere else, but it was getting close to fireworks time.We did not get our food untill after 9:30. So we had to inhale our food, as to make it to the fireworks in time.
The waiting room was packed, so we had to wait in the breakers lobby where it was hot as hell because the air was not working.
They had maybe 4 waiters for the entire restaurant on a sun night on the 4th of july. They had several manager type people standing around doing nothing. There were more empty seats in the restaurant , then there were taken. We overheard a few servers talking and saying" why did they send all the servers home?".
It was very disorganized, and they looked like they were not prepaired for all the people. They ended up bringing a few of the wait staff over from tgif.
I will say that our server was great, and she kept apoligizing that it was taking so long, and she kept our drinks full. The food was just ok, nothing to write home about. A little pricy for what we got. We each got a sandwich and drinks(there were 4 of us), and it was $60.
The kitchen crew was very slow, as there were more tables with just drinks on them, than there were with food on them. There were a lot of people with that pissed off look on there face.
I also have to mention that the menu was lacking.

$60 for 4 people at a local chain greasy spoon?
Looks like I'll never be trying the Breakers Perkins.
Also ate dinner there with the family of three on Sun, cost 40$. The place was a ghost town at 6-6:30, us and 6-7 other family's. At the same time TGI Fridays looked to be about a 2hr wait. The food was good for the most part and we had no problem with the service, great waitress and the food came promptly. The menu on the other hand I have to agree with, we do not think much of their selections.
Ps. What is up with no more pizzas at Breakers. How stupid is it to have to order it and have it delivered from Breakwater Cafe, and 2 hours after it was ordered, they said it would be an hour and a half, (haha) never again. Used to love the Pizza Hut after a night closing the park. Stupidest Idea ever to not have pizza in the Breakers.

Back on topic, I also saw the paint markings, as well as all of the broken concrete around that area. I think new Pavers at some point in the future.

If they are going to be placing footers in that area, they may just also rip out all the cement and replace it as well.
