New construction markings?

In the 5th and 7th pictures, it looks like there is blue markings too...

So far, this thread has claimed to have seen: Red, Oragne, Blue, Green & White

Only time will tell, but to have markings this early in the season is rare. Everytime in history, a construction marking almost always leads to a new ride.

1999 - I believe markings showed up for MF, though it was started quite ealry.

2001 - Not only was WT on the way, but some mysterious markers showed up by Dodgem 1 (TTD as the result 2 years later)

2004 - Many blue markers were found all around Kiddy Kingdom and the games area. (maXair was built)

Again, only time will tell.

Where exactly are the construction markers in this pic...http://images.pointxtreme.com/displayimage.php?album=167&pos=2

Looks like a pile of garbage to me. Am I missing something?

Heh, I took those pictures. The one you are asking about is in the mulch right behind the little stand that has towels and such beside the SRF entrance. There are one or two other red/orange dots in the mulch close to that one as well.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.

Just imagine what would happen if someone (a guest) brought in a couple of cans of spray paint and did some ground painting of their own.

You guys would go nuts.

So would the CP Police.

I wouldn't go nuts because I'm pretty darn sure they wouldn't know how to mark the stuff unless their work involved construction and such, so it wouldn't look organized at all. I don't think CP would allow a marker that says "queue start here" in plain sight anyway. I don't even think most of the GP knows that the lines are called queues for that matter.

If I was Tony and Tyler, I'd go out with a couple cans of spray paint and paint little lines and dots all over the place... And then I'd post it on the blog with little messages, just to create a buzz.

Woops, I think I just gave them an idea ;)

The way alot of clueless GP would know its called a queue would be if they rode Power Tower.

lol bholcomb, I bet they did put those markings there!
And if their intent was to cause a "buzz", then I would say they succeeded. ;)

...because the markings we see now are so organized.

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

"So would the CP Police."

Providing you get caught. ;)

Everybody rips on the people who want a new ride, but I get so sick of the negativity on this site. So what if someone wants to think positive for a new ride? Just about all the people who "don't talk" thought the site of TTD would never be a coaster..."they'll never build two coasters in two years". Bottom line...the are not spraying color-coded paint for the fun of it. I'm sure it's for future development of something... whether it's a coaster, flat ride, new restaurant, new bathrooms etc. What's the harm with having some fun and guessing?

With SFMM getting a flier, it's totally realistic for CP to build a new coaster next year, otherwise the coaster count title is gone. History seems to dictate that this is important to CP. So, we'll see.

That's assuming Flashback doesn't fall over by next year. ;) *** Edited 7/28/2005 5:40:48 PM UTC by FrontierDale***

Assuming no one was around, that would be funny.

Speaking of which, why don't they run it. I was there for the first time in 2003 and wanted to ride it. But it obviously wasn't running.

It's an Intamin, that's why! That's their specialty...building coasters that don't work. ;)

Sooo......

If Flashback fell over, and no one was around to hear it, would it still make a sound?

You KNEW that was coming :D

Seriously though. I've only been on PointBuzz & CoasterBuzz since 2004 and therefore havn't really been around any real discussions about Flashback. Is there a real reason that it's not running. Is is some sort of maintenance nightmare. I just don't get the point of SBNO unless it is such an old ride that it is not worth fixing.
