I was at the park on 7/10, and rode mine ride. Just as I was getting off the ride I noticed some markings in the grass/dirt area between the rides exit and the transfer track.
There was a white box painted on the ground next to the ride along with a lot of blue and orange markings leading from the box, down the road in between mine ride and snake river falls.
This could be nothing, but I thought it was interesting none the less.
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
I'm pretty sure someone said the markings in the Soak City lot have been there for a while. The markings by Mine Ride are interesting though....
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
What you probably saw in the Soak City lot was related to the garbage truck rodeo held last year as well as previous years. Those markings have been there for a long time.
The box was about 3x6.

If there are markers, I will take photos this weekend when I go.

Well, utility markings for digging purposes usually are:
Blue: Water/irrigation
Orange: communication/cables/conduit.
The orange would likely be phone lines to the station and transfer track. The blue could be anything I suppose.
What does this all mean? Couldn't tell ya.

This is interesting because there have been rumors of a Flyer in Frontier Town. But I'm guessing they're just utility markings, like Chief Wahoo said. Then again, maybe that's just what they want us to think. ;)

Here's a thought...let's inundate the PR guys who do the blog on CP's official site with questions about the markings. If they choose to ignore it then perhaps that means something is up. Of course, they could just come up with a bs answer as well. :)

^^^Sounds like a good idea, but I'm sure those people who have advisors as to an answer that would just throw us off the track.
Thrills Around the Corner!
For some reasons all of my comments that I submit end up not getting posted. I wonder if they check e-mails sometimes?

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
Yes!! Let's bombard them with questions until they crack!!! >:D

Not to change the subject, but... TTD 120mph, shouldn't your sig say Arms Down instead of Arm Down? Or did you have a tragic accident that were unaware of?

I had mine posted, and they did an entire update based on my question (about TV shows).
As for the markings. They could be checking to see how a flyer would fit. Or they could be checking to see how a new bathroom would fit. Or they might want to redo the concrete.
There are way too many possibilities right now.
