Wait... Itamin has their own site? I thought they never had a website.
Either that or it was just a joke...

I was back at the park today, and the markings were still there(although a bit faded from the recent rain).
Also, there is more markings on the frontier trail across from the leather shop(next to the log cabins). It was more white lines with some arrows painted as well.
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I personally would not like to see a flyer. They just don't grab my attention that much. It doesn't really matter what type of ride Cedar Point gets because they are always great in my opinion. If I had to choose I would either pick a floorless coaster breaking the inversion record ;) or a wonderful woody like something at holiday world. Something around 200 ft would be sweet.
I dont see why your wooden coaster youd like to see at CP has to be around 200'? The past has basically proved to us that the larger wooden coasters arent good (Mean Streak, Rattler, Son of Beast) and are very hard to maintain. The only reason I can see Voyage being a success is because of Holiday Worlds excellent wood coaster maintenance crew. If it were at any other park id be kinda worried. I think it would be great if CP got a wood coaster at some point (maybe a twister by GCI) that was around 100-120' but seeing as though everytime CP builds a coaster it has to do with a record I wouldnt expect to see them build one of these. In fact, CP building a wooden coaster at anytime in the near future would surprise me more than them building any other type of coaster that is out there.

CP should build something, that brings more guests in the park, which means it doesn't have to be a coaster.

Cross-posting from the other thread..
Just to clear everything up for everyone, here's the color codes for construction markings....
All owners of underground facilities (lines, cable, pipe, etc.) must use the following color code when marking their facilities:
* Red - electric power lines, cables, conduit & lighting cables
* Yellow - gas, oil, steam, petroleum & gaseous materials
* Orange - communications, alarm, cable TV, signal lines, cables & conduit
* Blue - potable water
* Green - sewers & drain lines
* Purple - reclaimed water, irrigation & slurry lines
* Pink - temporary survey markers
* White - proposed excavation
the 2 that are bolded are things we have been seeing up to this point. Hopefully this will help clear up some of the "confusion"
There is blue markings as well.

"Proposed excavation" sounds interesting... Thanks for that code, e x i t english.

You're welcome, guys.
hmmmm.... Proposed Excavation, Wires/Communication and Water lines?
it sounds to me like they're putting in phone booths and water fountains ;-)

Or it could be a coaster that uses a lot of electricity and water cooling. The excavation would be for the supports and such.
Or not. If it was that, it would probably be red and purple... I dunno. I think the phone booth water fountain idea sounds good ;)

On ScreamScape.com at the 7/18 update, they said that the new construction markings were for adding trees and/or they might be building a Screamin' Swing or a B&M Flyer. NOTE: THESE ARE JUST RUMORS. NOTHING IS COMFIRMED.

A screamin swing would be a awful idea. They have a Screamin Swing on the other side of the park made by Huss called Maxair. Putting in another ride that does basically the same thing as an Huss Frissbee in back to back years would be dumb.
You guys are all wrong. Water lines, phone lines, excavation... This is for our new water coaster. The comm lines are for the satellite tracking of the individaul riders. In case someone falls out of their innertube the ride will shut down so no one gets hurt.
We need some more color out there. Someone get some red and green paint ;) j/k

Yea, a Screamin' Swing would be stupid. Like you said, they should just build a water coaster to go with the water ride part of the park. Or they should get one on those new Splash Battle rides. That would be cool!
Enough water rides??? What are you talking about. We have Snake River Falls, White Wate Landing, and Thunder Canyon. 3!!! So we should get another coaster because 16 isn't enough??? Not to mention the fact that If we even got a new water ride, it would likely mean that WWL would be removed.

Screamscape ???
Never believe anything you read there until you see the confirmed (with documetation). Screamscape is stuck on every park getting one of these. It would be nice in Challenge Park, but not in the main park.
look at the Screamscape history of CP rumors. If they all were true. we would have the following by 05.
A Water Coaster.
B&M Flyers/Flooreless.
No WWL.
No DT.
a new wood coaster.
Scremscape is funny to look at, but that is all.
I also think there are enough water rides. If you want to go on water rides Soak City is a short walk away. Not that I don't like water rides, I just think there are enough for now.
