wow thats the exact thing i thought. Just theme it around the frontier trail and it would help stay the park with the most coasters, but still be a water ride for the family.
i wouldnt mind waiting until 2011 for one, i think it would be a great addition for the park.

For Aqua-Trax can you drain the water out of it so the ride can operate on cold October nights? It would be cool if they could take the water out and have it run so you don't get wet and freeze to death.
Let's Get Weird.
You could easily do an Aqua-Trax where you can control how wet guests would get. It could be done so in colder months, you could ride without getting soaked.
I'd love for CP to get an AquaTrax...seems like a perfect ride to fill the not-so-wet water ride hole in the park's portfolio. I could see this being a HUGE hit and a great investment. Intamin stuff rarely disappoints me.

Same here except for Jr. Gemini. I really thought it could have used more airtime.
When i did research to get that AquaTrax link i believe thats the only one and its overseas.I could be wrong tho. But like the link make it go thru afew tunnels themed like mines and such. And widen the canal for some splash areas"If they dont remove SRF which i dont think will happen" And have the enterance across from the river rapid watch deck like someone else said a page or 2 back.Around Sandusky Fort even.Have the station where the old bone yard is.Thats my concept so far,oh or if its another type of coaster the largest loop! lol hey maybe CP will do both?
Don't be dissin the Jr. Gemini, it had wicked air time back in the day, and this year when they run it in reverse for Hallowweekends, watch out!!!!The Aquatrax seems kinda mundane. I still say there be a flume coming. Called the waterspout.
Shoot the rapids, tame and dry. Thunder Canyon, wet and laughter. Snake River Falls, soaked and smiling. White Water Landing and the old shoot the rapids, Fun and missed.

Thank you,i thought i did good research
Cedar Point could be known for having the only aqua trax in America!
how much do you think one would cost? The one at Lotte World cost more than dragster did, but they did put alot of theming into it. Cedar Point already has theming from all the buildings from the frontier town. i do hope cedar point puts one in.

^or the tallest and fastest.;)
I agree with Ffej, I don't really love Intamin. I am more of an S&S or the defunct arrow. Arrow was really my favorite because they have really good capacity. Intamins capacity sorda sucks. An Aqua trax would be good but the capacity wouldn't be that great.
Pepsi Refresh is saving one coaster at a time: http://pep.si/bTTsfc
All this Aquatrax talk...is it 2006? Oh wait, it didn't work out then either. ;)

It's kinda hard to believe that an aquatrax would cost more than TTD. Does anyone know how much it cost.
Never mind I found out, it cost 29.2 mil vs. 25 mil for dragster. Don't think they will even come close to spending that much this year!
Strip away the theming though and the ride itself is probably in the 15-20 million range.

Maybe it's me, but I doubt this is going to be a water ride. Doesn't make sense when they ripped out a popular flume, and have done so at a few other parks as well. Now, I could see a coaster with a splashdown. I personally think water rides are a thing of the past with the volume of water parks in the nation. Plus, what do we know of Aquatrax...are they comfortable for example?
I still would love to see an B&M! i love the Dominator and Raptor! They give awsome rides!!!!
Life is like a rollercoaster! It is full of ups and downs

I was thinking the exact same thing...
R.I.P. Mr. Scott
Yeah I would rather see just a coaster too,I just thought AquaTrax might be something new and fresh. CP is do for a kick ass B&M like a flyer, floorless, or a 90vert drop!Or how about a 100vert drop...steepest!And like net said have a splashdown like diamondback somewhere. So many ideas really we will just have to wait and see what happens....
