Mystery Construction

The clearing was made for the stay puff marshmellow man! The trees were cleared because they ran out of footage for the TV show the Axemen and cedar point seemed like the ideal place to film. Plus I have 43 square miles of swamp land to sell you in Nevada.

King Dominion got El Dorado (Swinging Ride) and Americana (Ferris Wheel) Plus they are getting an Intamin Giga next year.

Carowinds got Boomerang from Geauga Lake and they are getting a B&M Coaster next year which is possibly a hyper.

Michigan Adventure got nothing this year, hmm oddly enough, I haven't heard MA got screwed this year.

^Its really not a big park. If it were not for thunderhawk, MIA would still probaly be left with nothing. Dorney didn't get anything except for a theature. Cedar Point hasn't gotten anything GOOD in the last 2 years. Its the #1 attendance in Cedar Fair. Give the good parks somthing good

Hmmm, yea its a small park, but Thunderhawk is pointless compared to Shivering Timbers, and oh yea they have this little thing called wildwater adventures. So Yea your right MIA wouldnt have thing with out Thunderhawk. Now that my eyes have rolled out of my head, anyone else got a pair I can borrow?

Yea Cedar Point may be number #1 in attendance but isn't MIA a pretty profitable park for the chain?

I have a few glass ones Matt (dont ask why):).

MiAdv has had an increasing attendance every year which was especially larger last year due to TH and GR.
And I believe Canada's Wonderland has a larger attendance than CP (only slightly though I think).

Somehow I'm with those thinking this isn't anything BIG. If it's for next year, it's not a coaster. Now if this was actually meant for something in 2011, then I could see the land clearing as the first phase of construction. So given that I was told the announcement concerning the site is soon and what I just said above, I think it'll be a ride/attraction but I HIGHLY doubt it's going to be a coaster.

Personally Im hoping for a log ride/dark (shooter perhaps) ride combo that would be sweet.

I wonder if they could fit a dark ride, like ghostwood estate where the pirate ride used to be. I do not know how big it is but they could have somthing on the line of snoopy. ^ A log ride I would love but i don't know where they can put it. Maybe take out antique cars or somthing but I agree a flume/ dark ride would be a good idea

I'm sure the clearing is not for HW. It is a pretty big clearing, and it doesn't seem odd that they have not started if it is a ride. Most of the rides have been built over the off season. It most likely will not be a coaster so we should be getting excited for KD and Carowinds. It looks like they will be getting some major coasters next year. KD's giga looks like it will be closer to 400 than 300, and Carowinds had been rumored to get a hyper but some of the clues they have been giving may point towards a nascar themed launch coaster? I may have to travel to these parks next year to check it out.

I'm 100% positive the clearing isn't for anything related to Halloweekends, and that some people here (though probably not most) will be happy next year. Like I said earlier, a former member would be spot on in his prediction that it has to do with water. :)

Today the captain of Paddlewheel told me that they had a bug infestation and they were eating through the wood. A tree fell down so they cleared the rest of the affected trees to avoid having a tree fall on Millie. He also said that a couple other trees were taken down elsewhere because of this. I did not believe his story. You can take it or leave it. We did not see anything different with the area.

Edit: Thats "bug" infestation. Not "but" lol

At least it wasn't a butt infestation.

Haha, well first of all when a moderator fails to notice something after 4 pages, it's time to get new ones. Also, making a remark about my picture with Mr. Kinzel is not only immature, it's in bad taste. While I worked for Cedar Point he personally helped me to build character. My father wasnt around when I was growing up, and Mr. K knew this. Mr. Kinzel shared with me his outlook on life, and pointed me in the right direction. I think you could use somebody like that, Jeff.

So, before you judge somebody on their picture (which had nothing to do with the conversation or topic in question) why don't you step back and look at yourself and grow up. I understand that this "corner" for you is sitting at your computer day and night, bullying people trying to prove something to yourself. But honestly it's sad, and many of us feel sorry for you. The community does a pretty job policing itself, and has been doing so since the time when you were shorter than Dick.

It's not my responsibitly and that's my point as well. Somebody should have been doing their job, and they were not.

And Matt D, obviously you had a father figure growing up because you wouldnt have made such a disrespectful comment. Have fun kissing Jeff's butt.

I'm so glad that someone else has finally come out to say this about Jeff. Every time I come on this site and state an opinion I am attacked...by Jeff. some rude comment or smart remark is made. I love Cedar Point and I did love this site until Jeff makeing comments got old. I've been a faithful reader for almost as long as this site has been in business.

Jeff, your comments to final coaster were truly heartless and disrespectful. I will also not give you the satisfaction of deleting my account and do it myself. Expect the number of hits on this site to go down by a significant number and the money you make from those hits to decrease also. after all, your not the only one who knows how a "website" works.

I for one am using my next pay check to buy a membership to coasterbuzz, cause its the bomb. Why would you attack the owner of a very useful website that you CHOOSE to use? Now back to 2010, I will be happy with what ever the point decides, and eagerly await any real evidence of an annoucement or progress. Spank you very much.

I encourage anybody that has been bullied, to boycott this site and coasterBuzz. You shouldnt be disrespected for having an opinion. That's what used to make these places so fun.
