Back to the theming comments, the rides don't need that much theming. They don't need to be Disney 100 million dollars worth of special effects. Look at Maverick and Diamondback. As long as they look good then it is fine. Just don't start placing coasters in parking lots like Six Flags.
Let's Get Weird.
Why no coasters in the parking lot? I could be pretty exciting. Someone could place a bomb looking device, oh wait that already happened. My bad.
Shoot the rapids, tame and dry. Thunder Canyon, wet and laughter. Snake River Falls, soaked and smiling. White Water Landing and the old shoot the rapids, Fun and missed.
Call it the Achmed: the Ride!;D
As for that chain next to Gamini, I've seen it on my past 2 trips and it's nothing special. It's just for an existing coaster that will need it soon.

I really hate it when people argue on this site and gang up on one person. If you disagree fine, but to beat it into the ground for 2 pages. Come on. So CPfanatic doesnt care for scenery, I disagree end of story. You've all made your point. Now move on. Leave the knit picking to Jeff. That's what he's here for....(enter Jeff with some great remark)
How about you leave the moderation to moderators, eh? And if you want a remark, well, you're the one with a picture of Dick, and there isn't much else that has to be said about that.
And if you disregard grammar and spelling, this is not the place for you. I'm not going to allow my corner of the Internet to pander to the lowest form of communication and ignorance.

Yeah, standing next to that big guy, he sure looks like a little......well...you get the picture.
I will say that, if this is a coaster or flume it does seem odd to me that they aren't starting to pour footers yet. So, it makes me wonder if we are talking about a ride or possibly something more simple than that.

Well, how long has it been now since they cleared that land? At least a month and a half or so...hasn't it. And, really, nothing to speak of. Here we are at the beginning of August.
I'm not anxious about it. I stopped getting excited about the "new ride" a long time ago. I just find it odd that there hasn't been anything else happening.

Well, getting the land cleared in the off-season makes sense, in that they can get started right away on construction once the season is over. I don't find it all that odd, especially considering the location - its not like they could truck in concrete on a daily basis without major disruptions to daily operations.
That said, its pretty obvious this isn't going to be a huge addition.

Earlier than that. Clearing was done before the season started. Which makes sense, do it all when you don't have to worry about guests AND have sunlight to work in. The land is cleared, so now whatever improvement is being made can start when the season ends on Labor Day.
I still don't buy that its for a new ride though. I still think it is an expansion either of the path or a major theme element for Terror Island. It makes sense that they would do the clearing before the season then so they can start HW set-up as soon as the regular season ends.

If this is for Terror Island, they'd better have something bad-fricking-ass planned for that space, considering how many trees (see also: naturally-occurring, free HW theme element) they tore out.
Brandon
And how many trees do YOU encounter on the high seas?
I agree with you, but a giant freaking pirate ship would be a pretty bad-ass addition.

Well, that depends on how many terrifying islands I encounter, John. :)
And I concur that a giant pirate ship would be pretty cool for TI. In fact, I was a pretty big fan of CP's last pirate ship.

I just really can't see this being nothing. In my opinion CP has gotten the shaft the past 2 years. Pretty much every other CF park has gotten a new coaster in the past 2 years and some getting one next year. That's 2 years in a row for Kings Dominion and Carowinds. Seeing as CP has gotten nothing in the past two years I think all of us can agree we will be getting a new ride. It probably won't be a coaster, but maybe a new water ride which I would love because I love the water rides!
