Walt has a link to a couple of pictures on the home page here, look at 2010 watch.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
I was just thinking of a highly improbable situation. I think it would be pretty cool if the island became kiddie themed. CP could move a lot of the kid's rides to the island and also flats with small footprints. This way, the supposed new attraction could be built off the island and not be limited by it. I think it be a pretty good idea if the cost of moving everything wouldn't be so high.
First rollback=opening weekend '09
After riding Firehawk at KI on Saturday I think the general public would be impressed by a B&M Flyer over the lagoon. (I know Firehawk isn't B&M I just think that would fit better in CP)
Maybe have a splashdown in the lagoon like Manta. A pretzel loop at CP would be great! :)
A Flyer or GCI is top on the list that would draw a crowd.
Let's Get Weird.
I'm one of those that thinks a new semi-thrilling, well-themed flume would fit perfectly in that area. How about toning-down Pilgrim's Plunge, and creating a wooden mine-like tower the boat travels up for the finale...after a nice relaxing log-flume course.
Promoter of fog.
^^ - Firehawk is terrible. I've also noticed the flyer craze is over, so I wouldn't expect to see one at Cedar Point either.
Goodbye MrScott
John
I didn't think it was that bad. That is also why I said B&M because I know they can make good ones. The Flyer craze is over? Seaworld doesn't think so.
Let's Get Weird.
Its also the first one since 2006 to be newly built.
Even though I've only ridden Firehawk, it was unimpressive and none of the layouts I've seen seem to indicate the others would be any better.

Please don't build a pilgrim's plunge style flume, that thing is disgustingly ugly. Its like a flume ride deconstructed. Looks more like a tripod from War of the Worlds then a flume.
^Ahh good movie.
*IF* they do put a water ride in that area and remove SRF, they aren't going to replace it with another giant splash ride. That isn't even logical. A log flume is plausible, but not a giant splash ride.
Let's Get Weird.
Perilous Plunge anyone. the layout is pretty much the same as SRF anyways
I even seem to remember something about a book by the same name . . . It was probably just a cheap novelization of the movie or something. Can't recollect who wrote it . . . H. G . . . H. G. something. Oh well, it'll come to me.

The radio show was only good because it caused mass hysteria. :) And Tom Cruise is definately not my favorite, but I really liked the movie. Never read the book.
"You wanna, you gotta, you hafta hold on, Cedar Point...HOLD ON!"
I read the book last year in 8th grade. I'm not a book persoon at all, but it was pretty good. Still like the visuals of the movie in HD though. :)
Why in the world would they add Perilous Plunge?
Let's Get Weird.
I hope you are being sarcastic. The book came first.

Hoping to one day build these great machines that we affectionatly call "Coasters"

EDIT: ^Beat me to it, but didn't the radio program come before the book?
