^ I agree, i think im gonna have to take a trip to carolina...
Not that anyone cares about my opinion but I think it's got to be some type of coaster going in at Cedar Point. I just don't see all this hoopla for another flat or a log flume. The GM at Carrowinds mentioned removing their flume and said sometimes you have to take a step back to take two forward. I don't think a new log flume would be a good way to sell season passes and create much of a buzz at Cedar Point for 2010.

I'm thinking a trip to Virginia is a much higher priority after seeing both announcements.
Forgive me if this has been asked already but why is "twice" on the Whyte Lightning web site spelled "twYce"?? Anyone have a guess or an idea?
Blue Gemini Always Wins.
After reading all of these pages and hearing the announcements I really do believe that Whyte Lightning will be some type of roller coaster.
It has to be some type of water ride. Go to the Whyte Lightening web site and it states: Bold. Exciting. Refreshing. It has to be a new water ride.

What is White lightning at Carowinds going to be? The site is still under construction. http://whitelightning.carowinds.com/
Pepsi Refresh is saving one coaster at a time: http://pep.si/bTTsfc
It's official. Intimidator is coming to Carowinds. 232 ft tall, 7 drops, one for each of Earnhardt's championships. It seems like they're turning into Six Flags, giving multiple coasters the same name. But it still sounds cool I guess.
Maybe white lightning is a new beverage they are going to sell in 2010? *gasp*

My guess? I think it was created and leaked along with that picture of the supposed name to throw people off track.
Hoping to one day build these great machines that we affectionatly call "Coasters"

Wasn't there an old ride at Carowinds that is no longer in operation called White Lightning? Maybe that is what that website refers to.
Planet Snoopy definitely didn't sell many season passes Max but there also wasn't nearly this much hype and teasing about it either. If I remember correctly they didn't even announce Planet Snoopy until mid to late winter.
This screams dark ride. It isn't going to be a coaster.
Could it be a log flume/dark ride hybrid with water guns......
Cedar Point is lacking a flume and dark ride. Coaster wars are over.
Seems like to much hype for a water ride or even a dark ride for that matter.

Both KD and Carowinds have coasters comming in honor of Earnhart. Wonder if they signed a three park/Theme deal?
Perhaps the "Y" that replaced the "I" in Whyte refers to the forked path at the top of WWL's drop (which was shaped like a y). Maybe it's a reimagined WWL?

I sure hope not. We already have a racing themed coaster. Plus, it seems as though they just kind of threw the Intimidator theme onto the KD coaster because they already had the rights.

My guess would be no since Earnhardt isn't nearly as popular in northern Ohio as in the southern states.
Please remain in your seat until the ride comes to a complete and final stop.
