i was mad when they took WWL rock tunnel out. It always got me wet from the water falling from the ceiling.

WIld thornberry's is an old flume with a couple of props added. Its ROUGH. Funny story. We are coming out the splash down and rounding the curve to the station, there are family members yelling duck. SO since this "animal" prop heavy ride, I promptly look for the duck and get smacked with a face full of water from the elephants trunk. As I am uttering explictives, the family members are dying of laughter. Moral of the story... There are no Ducks on the wild thornberry flume.

Shoot the rapids, tame and dry. Thunder Canyon, wet and laughter. Snake River Falls, soaked and smiling. White Water Landing and the old shoot the rapids, Fun and missed.

I rode King's Island's flume a couple of times when I was there a few weeks ago and enjoyed it. I only rode WWL a handful of times and have a hard time remembering it, but I enjoyed the turntable station.

To me it is an amazing log flume. It likes to bang on those curves. Like the elephant at the end.

Call me crazy, but I didnt really like WWL, I didnt really think it was exciting at all. Dudley Do Right at Islands of Adventure is the single most incredible "flume" ride I have ever been on.

I love flume rides.

The only thing that I do not like about them, is that parks are putting in the water cannaons for people to splash you.

One of the main reasons I like log flumes, is that you don't get soaked.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Agree with you on the water cannons. I hate those little punks that stay there all day because they think their only purpose in life is to soak those on the ride. And not a quick splash but rather a solid spray right to the face the whole time.

Right now I am about 80% sure it is a flume of some sort. Tony said at ERT that it is family friendly.

2008 visits = 38, 2009 = 19, 2010 = 11, 2011 = 14, 2012 = 10, 2013 = 14, 2014 = 14, 2015= 13, 2016 = 11, 2017 = 5, 2018 = 3

I guarantee it is a log flume or some sort or a ride close to it. I'd bet my membership on it. Bookmark this post:P

^ You weren't the first to suggest flume... nothing earth shattering.

Well they did say Maverick was supposed to be family friendly also.

I couldn't agree more. I love a good flume that gets you a little wet, like White Water Landing was. But I generally avoid flumes that have water cannons/squirt guns that can get you soaked. I forget which ride it was when I was visiting Florida parks last winter, but some kid nailed me in the face with one of those water guns. Not a pleasant experience.

I don't know if this has been mentioned here or not, but hasn't the Dragster cam been down for a few days? I wonder if they are repositioning it to give a birds eye view of the construction site.

djDaemon's avatar

Doubtful. The Trail Cam is in a better spot, I think, and the Dragster Cam has had a lot of problems, due to its location. In fact, I was surprised it was working so well all season!

Does anyone have any info regarding the cost of Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls? Either the cost of the ride itself, or of the ride & theme elements? I've not been able to find anything.

Brandon

Personally Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls is one of my favorite rides. The drop at the end is great!! I believe it is around 45mph and close to 100 feet. There are several other smaller drops also. You do not get real wet on the ride unless the timing is right on your way up the belt in the beginning of the ride. If a boat is on its way down a big cannon shoot swater on you. Again the timing has to be just right.

I could not find the cost either but I would guess it cost 20-30 mil.

After doing some research I am probably way off the mark on 20-30 Million!! Sorry
