I know it's hard to maintain focus when a thread gets this large, but why don't we all give it a shot?

So yeah, who wants to speculate on the size/speed/layout of the log flume? ;)

But...All i was trying to do was get this thread back on topic about whyte lightning and the mystery construction. Is that really that bad? :)

I think it will be 126 feet high, 65 degree drop, and 64mph. This is obviously all just a guess but man will i laugh hard if it's right.

.....Isn't that redundant? After all, isn't a terra coaster meant to be close to the ground? I can't imagine a ride like Maverick being 150+ feet tall. Because the more height you add, the faster it will get (unless you do something weird with the hill), and Maverick seems moderately rough with how fast it already is (In ways of your head hitting the sides of the harness). But I have no problem with your idea, for I believe in respecting people, especially on the internet. :)

EDIT: But it isn't redundant if your like Six Flags, and just to get the record, you add like 20 ft and like 1 more hill. :-l

T&T have been pretty quiet lately. Well kind of... no tweets in a whole 5 days (again sarcastic)! Either they're getting busy enough to where they're not posting misleading clues, or they're getting ready to make the announcement. Or maybe they figured 115 pages of discussion is a little overboard..

I'm anxious to see the layout of the (likely) flume. One of the things that draws people to a flume is seeing the splashdown, usually near a path. It's a nice attention getter.

I can only imagine that the station would be on the mainland, I doubt that they'd want to create a way to get guests out onto the island (unless PWE is in fact doomed). If we're talking about a standard flume, I'm not sure that the ride would travel out onto the island just to cruise around for a bit before returning to the mainland for a splashdown, but I also don't know why they'd put the splashdown on the island, obscuring it from guests on the paths.

Now, if this were a watercoaster, I could see the ride heading out onto the island for the coaster portion of the ride (and possibly, though IMO not likely, darkride portions), then returning for a splashdown near the path.

No matter what, it will certainly be interesting to see how it turns out. I'd love to see whatever is cruise thorough some new scenes, perhaps tied into PWE.

^^^I think that is a very good assumption. Everyone likes to see the splashdown. This is a good idea regardless of what kind of water ride it is. (If it is?)

Maybe the flume will have head choppers from intertwining with MF. We know we wont be getting anything like Intimidator 305, that looks like maverick on roids with no inversions. Maybe it will be a terraflume lol.

Anyone who has been to kings island: Do you like the Wild Thornberrys Log Flume? Really good log flume.
