The trains feel about the same as Storm Runner to me.

Intamin pitched some interesting designs though, based on some of the things they were batting around. You might be able to see them in those pictures of the sketches.

Is the sketch in the top-left corner a landscaping plan?

Brandon

So how are the seat restraints going tobe? I've heard that they are fine and that they hurt. Are the transitions on this ride going to bump you around?

I have rode Storm Runner a few times and had no problems with the restraints, in fact I thought they were pretty comfortable. Comparably, they look pretty much like the same trains as Jeff said.

No one can answer your second question since the ride isn't finished yet.

EDIT: Brandon, no, that's not a landscaping sketch. Professional landscapers use odd shapes for specific items. If it were a landscape sketch it would have to be much larger, be on graph paper and it most likely wouldn't include outside areas of the project area. That sketch shows other rides and the midway running through Frontiertown.

Ride on, MrScott!

It's nice to see a whole train on the track now. Good pics. Love the MidwayVision shots.

Yeah, the shots are great! For the scenery on Maverick do you guys think they will make as many trees as they show in the animated Maverick video? I hope so!

I wouldn't count on it. Look at maXair's artist rendering. Looks more like a rendering for 20 years from now when the trees that they planted grow.

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

Each and every ride that CP has built, they have planted many trees around them. Trees just don't grow over night. The area around MF is just now starting to fill in after 8 years.

Check out the pictures of White Water Landing when it was first built to what it did its final season.

Yeah, there are already differences between the animation and the real thing, like in the animation there are no stairs on the lift, but in the construction pics there is. Nothing big, bit it is a difference.

^the animation is also missing one of the ellectrical buildings by the tunnel. the small one in the middle to be percise. so i wouldn't take everything on the animation to be true.

*cough* Granted, some of us believe they could have done better. *cough*

Never seen a Roller coaster on a parking lot before...

Scream was a decent ride when I rode it, but you could tell it was very poorly planned. It's a shame, because the rest of that park is actually fairly nice.

And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun

It's a decent ride because it is a slightly modified mirror of Medusa (east). Not saying it wouldn't have been a decent ride otherwise, but still, Medusa is a good ride, so a mirror will more than likely be just as good. *** Edited 2/26/2007 3:51:38 AM UTC by BlueStreak64***

Thankfully that is no longer evident. ;) Yet another reason it was one of Kinzel's most laughable mistakes, it was like a SF move. :)

Back to Maverick though...that was a great update, and the trains look amazing.

And we all know how that turned out;)

Are there going to be any lap belts on Mav or will just be OTSR w/ a crotch strap like Raptor & Screw?
