More Feb. 23 construction

I'm not sure how a rubber band around a belt is any kind of indicator.

::struggles to put lid back on the can of worms::

Kinda wish I hadn't said anything now. If Jeff says it's a rubber band, then it's a rubber band. Don't start with the conspiracy theory crap.

Edit: Never mind, I found the answer over at Coaster Buzz. There is a 1-inch slack rule, at least for now. http://www.rollercoasterfreak.com/Cedar_Point/2007-02-23_Maverick_Tour/Data/page.htm?254,0

And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun

Looks like that says 1/2 inch to me

Lol, even though I took the picture, I didn't notice that pic before. I checked the full res and it is 1/2". The exact wording is as follows:

In order to ride Maverick
The shoulder harness must come down securly and the seatbelt must fasten properly with at least a 1/2" of black belt showing past the buckle in order to Ride.
You must be able to fasten your own seatbelt.

I'm sure there is another sign in production somewhere that says what every coaster at Cedar Point says. People must be free from back, neck, shoulder, and must not be pregnant.

Who's crazy to ride a coaster while pregnant? Oh yeah, probably every mother of every coaster junkie out here. We were probably all born with the echo of "Arms Down, Arms down!" hardwired into our brains.

Yes. They can't actually stop you from riding (unless you don't fit) but they aren't responsible for any birth defects that may result.

Goodbye MrScott

John

I can see it now: "Roller coasters can REVERSE potential birth defects" That'll be the day.

Plus, it's not like pregnant women could fit on most of the coasters anyway.

Jeff, wasn't that the last train sitting on the outside of the P&D building facing Perimeter RD? It was close to the Mean Streak end of the building. For some stupid reason, I didn't get photo. I guess I thought having pics of the other 5 trains was enough. :)

I remember wondering about the 6th train as I walked out. But glanced back on the way to car and saw it. Or maybe I was imagining it.

I didn't see it anywhere. I would have taken pictures of it.

I doubt we're going to see much action on the webcam today. We had a lot of snow today in Northeast Ohio. Unless this snowfall isn't a big deal this time.

I dont know, the metal frame is starting to look more like a station. The control room looks pretty much done. Hopefully with the nicer weather we're suppose to get in the next couple days, they'll haul butt on the station.

I wouldn't be suprised if they take advantage of this good weather and decide to work on Saturday.

I get on the MAVERICK PHOTO GALLERY everyday to see the pictures. I am wondering when they will have New Pictures? The last date was Feb. 23rd

Probably when enough stuff has happened to put new pics up!

I just wanna see the canyons, expecially on the heartline roll. And that bit of coal under the first turn, but i doubt that'll be there for a while.

All I have to say is that is the rumored testing is suppose to be early....like around the end of March, they better haul arse! The tunnel still isn’t finished, the station is nowhere near done, the canyons and other stuff is still a decent ways away from being finished and Maverick opens up in 64 days. I sure hope that there's enough time for testing and troubleshooting for problems and everything. Perhaps I’m just being paranoid.....if so dont get mad at me, I have the off season blues.:)

^I'm going to say paranoia is setting in.

They've done it before, and they'll do it again. They have lots of time and lots of nice days ahead to finish up. Come on for that March coming out like a lamb. :)

64 days? Wow - that's quick!! They actually do have a lot of stuff to get done in two months. Time like that flies on construction sites. I'm sure they'll get it done though. Have they ever not opened a coaster on opening day?
