OH boy so do I!!111!! It's my all time favorite part of the job!!;)
Tim, most of the actual roof is done. Almost all of it is flat minus the structure they're working on now and the other one that, I think, is the structure that you enter through/under coming out of the queue house.
If that wasnt what you meant, I get where you were going in anycase.
I like how fast they got the siding (that resembles the style on WWL's station) up. With that kind of speed, we could see the whole station up by next week or before the end of March......which is more than I can say about the pull barn my construction class is building which is in its 6th month of construction.

Wow, they are moving fast with the station and tunnel today. Looks like they're really taking advantage of the good weather. Looks like temperature is gonna drop from 71 degrees to 33 by the end of the week. That's some drop.

Wow, they dug up a lot of the midway. I didn't realize they'd be doing that much midway reconstruction. I guess its quite normal for new coasters though.
Is it just me or does the tunnel look horrific on the outside? Granted, its not done yet, but it looks so industrial compared to the station. The station is probably the nicest one they have so far with all the wood and at least a nice attempt at good theming. (Its no Splash Mountain, but for CP its great!) Then they go and clad the tunnel is awful looking steel panels? I just don't get it.
The rockwork looks really good though. I guess if the tunnel is the only bad part of the ride, they've done a good job. :)
^I was thinking the same thing, but it won't be very visible anyway. Who knows if they will or not, but some nice landscaping can hide the tunnel (where visible) very easily.
Before you question the whole visibility of the tunnel, Frontier Inn, the building for Undertaker U., and the ride's station will block the view on the midway side. On the other side (Thunder Canyon, the Railroad, and the midway by Mean Streak) the canyons the rest of the track will be blocking the view.
The only areas that the tunnel will stick out is by the pond and just to the left of where this picture was taken.

Yes, I was looking at the pictures on the Mav website and there are openings where the steel panels hug the supports for the ride. How would the cover up these holes?

personally im feeling something like this :)
They have places where the supports will go through the roof of the tunnel too. I've wondered how they were going to fill these areas from the beginning. It needs to be something that flexes a lot since the support columns will move and the tunnel will expand/contract.
I'm sure they made the tunnel metal for longevity, but it just doesn't fit with the ride's theming. Its disappointing.
Wow... and I thought it looked awesome before! :)
I wonder if there will still be a seating/eating area there next to the Frontier Inn.
