More Downtime

Think again. It really is possible it will be down for the rest of the season.

So when will we know for sure that it will be down for the season or will it already???

October 30th, I assume.

this really sucks because i was going to go to Cedar Point in two weeks for opening for Halloween weekends and now TTD might or from the sounds of it will be closed

I also have confirmation TTD will be closed the rest of the season.

It is a part that is "virtually impossible" to replace, so my guess is they have to replace the whole item surrounding the item that failed... ie.. instead of replacing a piston, the entire engine, etc. *** Edited 9/8/2005 1:52:23 AM UTC by CPPD177***

That's big bucks for CP if it's true.

It's super high cost maintenance like that which will cause CP to reconsider TTD.

Well good thing my next and last CP trip is October 29th and 30th, that will give all the time there is for TTD to open, but I'll still go if its not I guess.

Boy, this is some sad, sad news for us Dragster fans.:(
I was planning on going two more times in October (one trip for closing day), but if Dragster isn't open by October then I'll have to cancel the trips.
Dragster is one of the main reason I go to CP(as well is MF)...so I don't want anybody racking on me for that reason. So don't give me "Only going to CP for Dragster is pathetic." or "There are other things to do besides riding that thing!" because I don't want to hear it.

It's kind of like what Gomez said, indefinitely could mean 3 weeks, 2 weeks, 1 week, or 5 days. But if what CPPD177 said is true, then there's no hope.:(

But I'm a little hesitant about believing that (no offense CPPD177).

Either way i am still going because we are being shown some of the different ways Cedar Point runs Halloween Weekends, and for the rides of course.

I still think they can do it, because otherwise that is a lot of angry people and Plus that ride being down for that length of time is a really bad image especally for how good things were going. The Crew was doing such a good job then this problem happened. Hopefully this will be like the other problems and they work hard and get it fixed.

And yes, the poop from the park is that it's going to be down most likely till the end of the season. Hopefully that means nobody goes to Cedar Point and the park is virtually empty the trips I make. ;)

I apologize, I overreacted in my post (bad day). I'm still going for HalloWeekends. It's just that not getting a ride on Dragster will be a putdown for me.
But there are still other great rides. Millennium will make up for Dragster.

I wouldnt cancel trips to CP if Dragster is not open. I mean basically saying that is like saying you wouldnt go to CP pre-2003. There are many other things to do at the park besides TTD, even though it being down is a total downer. Ill be on my way out there tonight with someone that has never been there and that I had been telling about how cool TTD and MF is. It sucks they wont get to ride TTD but oh well, cant do anything about that.

TTD is an awesome ride, but there is plenty of other things to do there, and I think they have one or two other coasters in the park, don't they? ;)

Does anyone know any of the details about what happened before all of this happened???

I mean was it test running when it went down or was it running normal with people???
