"The Beast is rough in spots, how come no one ever complains about that ride."
I have commented on that before. It seems like most of the good wooden coasters in Ohio are suspect at best and dangerous at worst. Villian and the Beast were both great rides with a good amount of energy and lateral g's. Now they both could really hurt someone with a bad back. SoB is also in that catagory. And no i'm not whining, just commenting. I loved the Villian in 2000 and 2001 and the Beast just a few years ago. They knocked one around without the violence.

"So saying "It´s a TON smoother than what people make it out to be" and "it´s the smoothest woodie I´ve ridden in a while" is NOT the same as saying it´s a smooth ride?"
No it isn't. Are you able to reason out a logical arguement? Unless someone says, "that is a SMOOTH ride" then it does not at all indicate that a ride is smooth. Saying "It's a ton smoother than what people make it out to be" is indicating that it was smoother than the reputation, but isn't specific to how rough or smooth it is. Saying "it's the smoothest woodie I've ridden in a while" also is not indicating that a ride is smooth, just smooth in comparison to other wooden coasters. Wooden coasters by definition are not smooth rides. Smooth is the RARE exception for a woodie. So to say that a a coaster is the smoothest woodie i've been on would indicate to me that it was quite a bit rougher than riding on a car with new suspension on a freshly laid asphalt road, or riding a smooth as silk B&M hyper.
And again smoothness is such a subjective concept anyway.
