poor rippin. I almost feel bad. But then I re-read his initial post and realize that he had it coming. :)

Like I said in other post, when the trains go through the heartline roll it doesn't look any different than Raptor going into it's twist. The element looks very smooth. I'm wondering if it's not the element itself or just the structure holding it together that isn't strong enough.

Well by the looks of some of the videos and pictures, the heartline isn't so "heartlined", which probably introduces some forces that the human body cant handle very well. You are also taking this element at nearly 70MPH, unlike the elements on Raptor that are taken at a much slower pace.

I just clicked into the webcam, and to my surprise I saw one of the boom/crane vehicles sitting in the pond next to the rock facade, with water still in the pond. I don't normally do play-by-play, but it was interesting and I decided it was kind of odd enough at the moment to post. Anyway...

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
^^^ The curve is too tight and that's what's causing so much stress on the trains than more on the track. The speed I thinks has to do with it too.

^^Yeah, I just noticed that when I got into class. Well either the track is already here or theyre just taking out the existing sections to get ready for the replacements.
I sure hope I get to see it being replaced tomorrow.:)

Not that I am on Rippins side but maybe he does know something because on the CP blog they did say that they will have an announcement soon on Maverick. Maybe they really are having a press release on Monday.

From what I could tell, the new support doesnt look all that different from the old one. Though the connection part didnt seem as angled down as the ones that supported the heartline.

How could you make out that much detail from the webcam? Do you have access to some secret high def camera feed?
After I get off of work, I'll post some shots from the capture program I have running at home.
And tas24, the only part of Rippins post that could be right is the announcement on Monday. Nothing else about the post made any sense.

I'm sitting in my office in Chicagoland. Can't you see them tighten the bolts on the new support posts from the webcam? LOL
Seriously now, you are right. How can one get that much detail from the webcam. Either I need some those drugs he/she is using or they are either at the park using there PDA to post messages.
