Just got back from the park. Here is a photo update for everyone. There was one piece in place when we got there. There was a guy welding it. All the supports appear to be in place. A second piece got set while we were standing around. It appears that they were just getting geared up for doing the work at night. I'm not sure why, but it appears they don't want to do the major work during the day. Unless it's just a coincendence. But, I reviewed the captures for the day and the cranes barley moved all day.

Awesome pictures Jason. Still wondering about the one little chunk unpainted.

That's where he was welding.

So it was left unpainted? Was it a "bridge" between to full sized sections or the end of a piece?

Jason--great pictures, thanks for posting them. Hope they get the rest of the track installed tonight! :D

I can understand why they wouldn't want to do welding, and stuff like that infront of the guests. I'm not surprised they're doing the work at night.

Considering all they have left is 2 pieces of track, had a Light Tower set up, I'm sure the remainding pieces will be in by morning. By now they may have the 3rd piece in. The second piece was set around 6:30+/-

It's amazing how fast they're getting all this done. I am profoundly impressed.
I also feel really badly for the walls over at Intamin...you know, what with getting smacked by all those balls. ;)

Question- anyone have pics of the front of the trains? The last set of pics we saw was only a "possible" front. Anyone seen the final concept art for the front of the trains?
The timeframe from problem till fixed was under 3 weeks. I'm impressed by how quickly they got this done. The timeline of about a month is what I was expecting with my knowledge of container shipments. They must have had an easy time through customs.
Having delt with over seas shipments before, I know you can pay to have thing expidited.

As you all know, the webcam pictures are so-so but great to keep an eye on things... I think it would be awesome if i could take a lawn chair, a 12 pack, and a video camera with my wireless altel internet connection and just stream the video footage all day long and devote myself to this project FIRST HAND until it is completed and running. I am tired of second hand information where only half of it is true. All the facts are correct on this site, once you filter out the incorrect ones. LOL.
I'll hold your cooler down for you!
Provided we're getting paid for this. :)

I'm still holding out hope that Don C was right about a Memorial Day opening - I'm there that day - but it seems like it would make more sense if they opened it on a Saturday. I'll put my bet in for June 2.
Jason, Those are great pics. I wish I could have made it over to the park today. But, work would not allow it. Those pictures made me feel much better about not being able to go see the construction myself. That must be an expensive camera, cause those pics look great.
NoSoup4U,
I love ur screen name. Seinfeld is one of my favorite sitcoms of all time. I was sad when it got cancelled.
I wish I could quit working and go sit there too. With a cooler full of Bud Light. Until the ride opened. We would be the first to ride after Mr. Scott's ride. That would be awesome.
Peace, Mikey
