As everyone else has said, yes.. the ride is amazing.
It is either #1 or #2 IMO. What a fantastic ride. I was #66 or so, but ended up getting middle of 3rd train. What a fun train too.
I can say that I was part of the FIRST Maverick launch tunnel rollback. Yes, yes.. be jealous. :)
Great ride, great day.. 4 rides in an hour.. I love it. Good Job CP.

I will say being able to get a back seat on the gunmetal train was well worth it.. exspecially with the three runs right in a row.
The tunnel.. amazing with the lights and the fog.. is there an exit.. oh there it is!
The big airtime hill.. I think I was in my seat no.. I wasn't..
The horseshoe rolls.. airtime in an inversion.. good god that was brilliantly done
The S curve made the speed nice and the themeing even helped out tremendously.. I was dissapointed the water cannons werent runnign though.. but the water jet over the s curve was a nice touch..
And the first hill.. I have never heard a LIM so quiet it was kind of freakish in a good way.
Intamin has a winner with this one.. and so does CP.. Long live CP!
Truely the most fast paced exciting ride in the park. You never exceed 70mph, but I've never felt like I've ridden a faster ride, not even TTD.
And it's more than "air time" over one hill, it's serious negative G's!!! It tries hard to throw you, like an old West Maverick! I was wearing a pendant around my neck with some of MrScott's remains in it and the dang thing hit me on the top of my head at one point!
I'm undecided if Scott would ride this ride more than once, LOL! That launch tunnel is INSANE!
Kudos Cedar Point.
Again, My family needs to thank everyone here, especially Walt, for all you have done. I felt honored to meet Mr. Kinzel and John Hildebrandt, both acknowledging why I was there. It really was a great experience.
[the rain hid my tears too, so I lucked out there!]
I had such a blast riding Maverick this morning! As an employee I was able to get into the park before the general public so we got there around 8:30. Thank God it was my day off! We were within the first 100 people or so in line and it only took us about 20 minutes to ride in the front. It rather sucked waiting in the rain though.
Such a great ride! Everyone needs to get to Cedar Point and ride it!!!

My new 3rd favorite. It just bumped Raptor right out. Magnum then Millennium and now Maverick.
The wait was about 2 hours from outside the entrance in the temporary queue line. Once you are in the old WWL load area the line moves very fast.
It is so quick and the air time is amazing. I can't say I'm too fond of the restraints. They hurt your chest a little. But it's possible to keep your chest off of the restraints. I don't want to ruin the launch for anyone. But it is nice and smooth.
I love watching the ride. The 2 trains at once makes it look great. I have two elements of the ride that I think are the hotness. Going sideways under the drop and the hard left you make shortly after that (not sure what type of element that would be.)
According to my cert for my free shirt. I was rider #1879
