Maverick

I think Mr. Scott knows what we are getting. Moving the train would explain why CP isn't allowing any pictures to be posted of the area around WWL.

No, I don't know what Cedar Point is getting for 2006(and 2007). I do know something new is on the way and look forward to it like any other guest.

Um, I for one believe you, I just hadnt heard this brought up before. I dont think anyone will notice a few feet. At first I thought you meant the path was being diverted somehow (shortened, etc.).

Hmmm.

Lots o' land to play with. :)

Yes, alot of land, but more than a few feet... ;)

From everyone on the CP&LE, RIP Mayor Scott...~

I can’t believe I was right about CP moving/altering CP&LE RR!! So its alteration will give how much more construction room (roughly)??

(I just want to say this)Its times like this that I love being a CP enthusiast!!!:)

Oh and I want to ask a question. Say the next coaster is indeed a monster, what kind of crane system would they use to hoist the pieces up to the immense height??? They couldn’t use the cranes they used on Dragster/KK because those only go up to 480ft (I'm pretty sure its 480)...and they're the biggest of they're kind!! SO just how would they pull it off??!!

BTW, 88 more days till opening day and the access to the sight of the construction!!!!:)

Well if it's not going to be taller than TTD... ;)

Don't confuse the adjectives big or huge with tall. I consider MF and Magnum to be bigger coasters than Dragster because of their track footage and the area they cover.

This year is going to be as fun and full of speculation as the 2002 season was. The only difference is that this year we started in January and in 2002 we started in May.

I see what you mean.
Still, using the words "huge" or "big" to describe a coaster sounds exciting....even if it isn't the tallest in the world. As long as it's a unique and one of a kind coaster (like MF).

If they (re)move 2 rides, then they have a plot of land nearly as large as what Millennium Force sits on.

The land is there. Will Cedar Point tap this potential? Probably not. Then again, the same could have been said for Magnum, Millennium Force, and Top Thrill Dragster.

Just take a look around:

I know I will get majorly flamed for saying this but it's just my opinion. I think CP is adding a new "ride" to the old WWL section, while making us believe that Skyhawk is all that is new for 2006. What a buzz that would create. And boy oh boy, T & T came along just in time to create it..... hmmmmm.

^I'm very sure that will not happen. It's not a good business decision to just surprise people. You put in a $20 million attraction and not advertise until opening day, they'd be crazy to do such a thing.

2007 will be the year.

Not to mention that at this point a ride is unlikely to be finished by May 6th.

Rides don't just appear out of thin air. They takes months and tens to hundreds of thousand of man hours. A major attraction for this summer would require more than 3 months. Also, it would have been pointless to build Skyhawk if they were going to just turn around and put in a bigger ride this summer.

Also, anyone with a boat (or in a car across the bay) could see anything of any size going up at the WWL site.

Dragster the launch, the drop, the thrill it delivers. If it didn't there would not be 2 and 3 hour lines. Mavrick knows how to fly.(TOP GUN)

1)Magnum 2) Blue streak 3) Millennium 4)Diamondback 5) Maverick 6)Dragster (Point lover since 66 age 8)

Let alone those who have private pilot's licenses.

Jack Bauer is not involved here. Just look, listen and have your head out of your butt, and you can see things. God, now I sound like Mulder...

Well I can guarentee my life on a new roller coaster in 2007. No coaster in 2004, 2005, or 2006. Thats a 4 year span. When was the last time they went 5 years in a row w/o building a new one?
