MF’s first drop through that fog this morning was really something.

As a promotor of the stuff, I approve of this ride experience ;)

Looks to me like camera 3 is focused on the front roof of the Town Hall.

Still haven't been able to uncross these circuits...

Was anyone else as shocked as I was when they looked at the cams today and saw no one in the park? I did not realize they were not open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Glad I didn't drive up there today!

Always check the website before visiting any park. Always.

Otherwise you risk a bad encounter with the moose out front......

Or in this case, the beagle.

”Sorry folks, parks closed. The beagle out front should’ve told ya.” 😂

Did I ever tell y'all the story of the one time I forgot to do this?

That is indeed where the shingle in question was located. Good call!

They finally pulled the zoom back! :-)

Yep, back to their old 'trick' of not showing the parking lot. Sometime they'll realize it's good to show the lot irregardless of how many cars there are.

I'm curious why you believe it's helpful to the park to show the lot, and also why you are in a position to understand this and the park is not?

Nice clip of Rougarou getting hit by lightning. Rain policy aside, the coasters had already been closed over an hour before this.

Wow, that is amazing.

I remember back in the 90's Demon Drop would always get struck, I think that was one reason they decided to sell it and remove it, at least that is what I heard, I'm sure there was more to it than that. It was a lightning rod for sure where it stood.

Wonder if anyone was hanging out in the station when that strike happened? I bet that woke them up!

I think it's helpful for couple reasons. If us season pass holders want to go up one evening let's say and we see the parking lot packed we may think twice and not add to the crowds, let others enjoy the park since pass holders can go whenever they want. Then the opposite, if it is more empty more of us might trek to the park and spend some money while were there on food and drinks.

That is how I used to do it when they did have a stationary cam where you could see the lot. I'm not a fan of large crowds and would rather not travel over an hour to get tot he park when it's busting at the seams.

IMO it was nice to see the lot later in the day, mainly on Fridays when I would go up after work. I would base my decision at the end of my work day by looking at the lot and seeing how full it was and determine if I would go or not.

It wasn't sold, it was moved to Dorney. Tall things get hit by lightning, and that's why they have lightning rods and are sufficiently grounded.

That's right, wasn't it up for sale first then they moved it? Thought I heard at one point it was up for sale and I joked with my friends "let's buy it and put it in our backyard! Lol!"

I saw a news article in Cleveland, think it was WKYC who sent one of their reporters to Dorney to ride it and bring back memories.

Yeah knew they were grounded and such but still cool when you see it (from a distance or web cam), I just wouldn't want to be anywhere near it! Bust your ear drums!

I understand why it can be beneficial to guests to see the parking lot, but Dennis asserted that it was beneficial to the park.
