Screenshots from the webcams yesterday, at/near totality:
Also as a bonus, some shots from Kings Island's webcams when the eclipse was around its maximum there:
It was fun watching the webcams yesterday during the eclipse. The seagulls were going crazy in the top webcam view!
Yeah, it's cool to watch the track move back and forth between the launch track and the run track. But yikes, I hope the ride has some kind of "Hey I'm not lined up" warning because if those tracks don't align perfectly, when the train does its rollback that would be a disaster.
If you watch closely, there is more to the mechanism than just the track lining up. There are pistons that extend and engage to ensure that it is securely in place, and no doubt the train cannot launch until the system recognizes that.
Promoter of fog.
They're launching TT2 with riders right now. One observation: They might as well remove the "keep your arms down" instruction on the launch sign. Nobody's paying any attention to it.
I think that sign is there for a “nod to the past”. I mean, nobody is paying attention to the “head back” part either, since it’s not very necessary anymore haha.
Top Thrill is down right now. Had 2 trains that sat on the launch track for a long time. Eventually both did launch. But then they sent maintenance under the launch track.
Launched several trains without issue. Now running with riders. Expect there will be some hiccups running the ride early.
I watched for a few mintues last evening and they were dispatching quick. Less than ten seconds to launch from the time the train got into position. I watched 6-7 launches and was surprised by how fast they were moving through. Looked really good.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
Looks quite foggy there this Saturday morning.

Has to be an amazing picture taking day and also riding coasters in such a thick fog.
