Steel Vengeance rides: 20
Seeing the cars back on the Giant Wheel is a sure sign that the new season is close!
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
It is interesting this morning to see the waves crashing into the shore on the east side of the peninsula in camera #1, as opposed the more calm looking waters on the west side. It looks like one of those days that you feel sand batter you near Wicked Twister.
And the Boardwalk is looking nice as well.
What's amazing is the line of demarcation with the weather in Ohio. It's in the 30's at Cedar Point with the fun rain and wind, and right now in Louisville (under 2 hours away to the Southeast) it is 75 and simply gorgeous this morning.
Promoter of fog.
I'm in an eastern suburb of Cleveland and typically a big difference between home and CP. Could be a rain soaked day at home but sunny at CP. I went to CP yesterday to renew pass and meals, left home in 82 degrees,CP parking lot was 44 degrees.

I’d love to know how you can get to Louisville in under 2 hours. It’s over 4 hours to Louisville from where I live just south of Toledo.
But weather is crazy along the lake. Left my house this morning to rain and 40 and drove to Columbus where it’s now 74.

I don't think he means Louisville, KY. I think he means Louisville, OH.

Ok. Dumb me. Never knew Ohio had a Louisville. I need to get out more.

Before we moved here in 2009 (from Columbus) I also had no idea there was a Louisville, OH, and I have lived in Ohio my entire life.
Promoter of fog.
Alabama, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois Kansas, Kentucky, Nebraska, New York, Ohio, Mississippi, and Tennessee all have a Louisville.
Ok. Now Im really feeling bad. I have lived in Mississippi, Tennessee, Alabama and now Ohio and never knew any of them had a Louisville.

There are five Toledos, seventeen Columbus, twenty eight Clevelands, fifteen Akrons, twenty seven Daytons, and believe it or not, six Cincinnatis.
I can make you feel better. 2010 we moved back home to St. Louis and I started taking the boys to SFSTL frequently. There is a town in southern Missouri by Branson called Hollister and I kept noticing every time we went to the park there were these teenage school groups from Hollister. I eventually commented to my wife that it seemed strange that all these kids from Hollister were making the 4 hour trek so often when they had SDC right there.
She burst out laughing. I avoid the mall like the plague.
You can catch a glimpse of Steel Vengeance testing from Webcam 3 right now, if anyone wants to watch. Have seen two cycles so far. Is it next week yet?
Not yet. And thanks for the tip. I don’t visit the web cams very often these days so this was fun to see for a minute.
It sure looks fast. Not that I didn’t expect that, but even through the MCBR it looks like it’s at top speed. Another thing is that the time between trains is close. I realize that they aren’t loading passengers or following real procedure right now, but one of the fun things (the only thing?) with Mean Streak is that two trains could appear on the circuit simultaneously. I hope things at Steel Vengeance are the same.

Akron,OH is the best because we have the most history of all those Akrons.
