TTD 120mph said:My favorite is from a Raptor op: "You're going to go really, really high, then really, really low, then really, really fast... and then finally do some inversions."
Then at Gemini: "And we're going to drop you at 60°...... see while other coasters are dropping you at 80° or 45°, we're the only coaster that will drop you at 60°..... (a few funny remarks from riders) I know, it's unbelievable!!":)
So I guess I wont miss the spiels that much. I can just remember them in my head if I ever get upset from not hearing them.:) Not to mention the new headsets are an added "cool factor".

Things like that help make the atmosphere more fun and enjoyable, especially on the 95F degree days. I'm glad to see the pre-recorded spiels go, though I would be willing to bet we will see a return of the music eventually.

Rollbacks - 1 - Opening Day 2005
Last TTD train of the night (6-23/24).
I am so happy the audiospiels are gone!
Ride crew can make waiting in line so much fun...with TTD being a perfect example. They get the crowd going...joke with the riders...and add a lot of character to the ride.
The best was TTD's crew..."We heard Kingda Ka is broken...so youre now riding the fastest and tallest coaster on the planet!"
(and by the looks of things, they will be able to say that for a long time)

i love the synthesized voices on wicked twister and MF. it was part of the ride to me.
Synthesized voices? They sure sounded like human beings to me.
I like that the Raptor crew is already trash talking the Magnum crew. Though I'd do it with, "We're the crew that doesn't have to stand behind posts and we can see our trains as they leave." I still can't believe how stupid that is.

I always thought the recorded Millennium Force voice was trying to talk someone into bed.

Meh. I could give or take any of them except Millennium Force. Seeing as my experience of Top Thrill Dragster's operation is pretty low, I don't care about it....at all.
I wouldn't mind if they got rid of the autospiels after I went once. I was going to record Millennium Force's on my phone this year so I could listen to it the whole 363 days I'm not at Cedar Point.
My worry is my experience at Kings Island. I know Paramount crews generally aren't quite so fun, I just know of so many times I've hear this.
[Insert depressing monotone here]
Please keep you hands and arms in the vehicle, Paramounts Kings Island is not responsible for any lost items or articles... Thank you for riding _______
Summer was made for a Cedar Point day~

I heard the same thing when I was in the station opening day. I thought I'd be funny and say "Kingda Ka sucks!!"....the ride op started laughing then continued to say, "We're going to take you up 420 feet, drop you 400, etc, etc....now enjoy your first ride of the season on Top Thrill Dragster!!!"
That's when the station...or shall I say train really got loud.:)

Im so glad I got recordings of Millennium's spiels throughout the years.
They better return Millennium Force's to the way it was or else that coaster is going to lose so much with theming. I hope enough people are complaining to get it back.
thank you.....and enjoy your record breaking ride on Millennium Force!
