in the future....

I also kinda hope they take a little break from breaking records. Anyone wanna see a new Vekoma boomerang?

I sure would hate to see a vekoma boomerang...1) I'm not really a big fan of Vekoma's in general. 2) I dont see Cedar Point going that way and getting a boomerang. I really hope to see a B&M...Any B&m would be great. *Cough* Floorless *Cough*

I think a Vekoma Boomerang makes great sense. They really don't take up too much space, and CP could make one bigger than Deja Vu and once again spank SFMM. Of course a 4D would really hit the spot as well. I'm counting the days until my mid-March trip( first time in SoCal) to SFMM with fingers crossed, hoping X will be up and running.

If you're going out to CA, do yourself a favor and make sure you hit KBF while you are there. I enjoyed it more this past summer than I did SFMM. There were good coasters and such at SFMM, but the overall atmosphere and cleanliness was much better at KBF.

CP will probably wait a while for the 500 ft. mark to be broken. Magnum has the airtime, MF has the high speed turns and hills, and now TTD has the Speed and drop. What would be next? You can't build something that would take away the thrill from the other rides. Each ride is unique which makes the people want to ride them. When CP does go over 500 ft., it will probably be a new design we have not seen yet.
macho nachos, a Vekoma boomerang would not make sense (by the way I was joking when I said it would) because it would just be adding on to the coaster count. It's such a standard ride that you can go on just about anywhere. That's why Cedar Point does new stuff. What other parks can you ride a coaster that's over 300 feet? One answer: Nagashima Spa Lands, and Millennium Force opened first, so ha! In your face Japan!

Well I do not think I would make the trip and be excited about a Vekoma boomerang. Now if it was a flyer, then I would make the trip.
I'd get excited if it was a Vekoma boomerang and something else. There's no way that they would put one in by itself, unless it was 2004.

I just want something next year. I will be very bored next year if they don't build anything.
I'm sure they'll do something. Maybe not a coaster, but maybe a thrill ride.

Wow! I've never heard of a tilt before but that looks like the bomb. I wouldn't mind seeing one of those or a boomerang in the near future.
I dont know where people are getting the idea that X at SFMM is unreliable...its been open for a year straight now, and was closed one weekend in January 2003 for testing...other than that, X has been operating for over a year. Yes they did have problems at first, but just like anything else, the first one is always the hardest to deal with. It is an unbelievable ride, with ride sensations like nowhere else...and the only place to experience it is in CA. (Jealous Maybe?)

And why is everyone already thinking of 2004? Be happy with what you have, and what your going to get...would you have been dissapointed if you didnt get an upgrade of Gemeni? or Magnum? or MF? I sure hope not, because you shouldnt be dissapointed if CP doesnt top TTD for many years to come...there's just no reason to.

I think its smart for SF to cool down for a year, establish an easy coaster to continue on for 2003, and maybe break some records in 2004. They sure have done it before...And if they dont, who cares...you all act like this is some war. Even if Cedar Point adds coasters up the ying yang, it doesnt take away some of the greatest coasters at SFMM or anywhere else. And i'm sure after another park beats CP's TTD, that your all going to be crying again that the tallest and fastest coaster just has to be in Sandusky, Ohio.

So shut up, all you babies.

Oh yeah, that tilt coaster looks cool.

Perhaps everyone got the idea that it is unreliable from the class action suit against Six Flags! The suit exists because some season pass holders feel that a 'prototype coaster' (SFMM's phrase) like X should not be used in advertising since it often is not available for riding. To say that X has only been closed for one weekend is just ignorant.

I don't feel like digging for the facts right now, but I have been reading everything I can get my hands on about X and am pretty sure that it has beeen running since August, which is not close to a year.

And many times running with one train only, at least according to trip reports I've read on CBuzz.
