Improving Wicked Twister Midway

I wouldn't mind seeing Demon Drop moved to one of their smaller parks, like MiA. It's not a new exciting ride, sure, but re-paint it, fix it up, rename it, and plop it into one of the small parks, and it'll be exciting to the people who visit those parks.

The space isn't a huge issue for Wicked Twister midway, though, as it's not even connected to that midway, and won't be unless they go over the parking lot off to the side (I believe I'd read it's the employee lot?), and connect over to where the metal monstrosity sits in the back corner of the WT midway.

A long, tall, sprawling coaster could do that, easily enough, while still leaving some space for the parking lot, too.

I would guess that they probably do have plans for the area, and that the plans probably are set for a few years off yet (project 2009, anyone??), and if it comes down to it, they'll remove it if it hasn't sold yet.

If it has sold, then they can move ahead maybe a bit earlier, or leave the space empty for a year like they did with WWL.

Looking forward to Cedar Point- July 4th-5th, 2007!

There's nothing saying they couldn't make the games area (across from maXair) double sided. Then they could make a midway on the other side where the parking lot currently sits. So, the games area would sorta be an island or the center of a donut if the donut is the midway. I could see that working. The other option is they just don't want Demon Drop because its a maintenance problem.

Another idea is the area between Ocean Motion and Breakers East. I know that it is used as a patio for various catered groups, but what a waste of space. That whole section from Breakers East down to WT could be revitalized into a nice board walk area and include the beach and maybee even another flat ride. For that matter they could even build a nice family style coaster and use the board walk and or beach for the theam.

I'd like to see a Huss Top Spin somewhere in that area or in the middle of frontier trail. Maybe even a Giant Top Spin, but I'm not sure if those can be beuilt outdoors (probably can, just hasn't been)

^^ I always thought that the catered area just off the Wicked Twister midway would make a great Haunted House for Halloweekends. Theme it to a circus and it would fit right in with CarnEVIL. It really would not take a whole lot to set that area up for that, and as far as I know they don't really use it during Halloweekends, (did they use it for BooBuzz last year?)

^With the other group areas becoming Fear Faire and Lair of the Vampires Im sure they want to keep one area open for groups.

If Demon Drop is gone, they should take down Disaster Transport and easily make room for a newer better roller coaster that would go a little bit into the parking lot. (Or even make a new launching indoor coaster).

IMO: after three launched coasters in a row, I think they should go back to good ol' gravity for a ride or two.
