Improving Wicked Twister Midway

^ I think you're talking about rides like maXair and Skyhawk. Those were the last two rides they put in. :)

The only reason I suggested making DT one big tunnel was because I thought the reason they put on the building in the first place was sand getting into the trough.

Just remember, if they were to tear down the Disaster Transport building, they would lose lots of storage space and also lose a haunted house during Halloweekends.

I agree that a boardwalk would look very nice along the lake. Add some flats, games, food vendors, and a cyclone-style wood coaster. For a wood coaster, I'd have to say Gravity Group would be a great choice.

^I know many of you are against franchises, but a Nathan's Hot Dog stand would fit in great.

A Mack spinning coaster appeals to all ages. It's fun for adults and it doesn't intimidate kids.

maXair intimidates me, so I'm not really sure how you can get away with calling it a family ride. It's more disorienting than all the roller coasters minus maybe Raptor and Mantis. *** Edited 4/20/2007 12:34:48 AM UTC by Gomez***

Maybe a water coaster would fit good into the area?

Looking forward to Cedar Point- July 4th-5th, 2007!

Omg, please don't start on the AquaTrax thing again. We've had enough talk of that for an entire century. :)

maXair is probably the only ride in the park I could sleep on. :) I thought it was so peaceful and relaxing.

Ok, ok, no water coaster... ;)

As for sleep, if Witches Wheel would run longer, I could easily take a nap on it. It's very relaxing to ride for me.

I haven't had a chance to do MaXair yet, because it was brand new last time I went, and 3 hour waits I try to avoid. ;)

I rode Avalanche Run plenty of times, and I can assure you that it sucked even more.

I know what they need over there . . . a new flume ride! ;)

My author website: mgrantroberts.com.

Maybe they'll bring The Mill Race out of storage and reintroduce it over there? ;)

Yes, Disaster Transport is much better than Avalanche Run was.

I love the idea (or rumor) that someone had about moving DT to Geauga Lake as an open air ride, like it was originally. It would be a nice family coaster for Geauga Lake, and CP could have an awesome boardwalk themed area if the Aquatic Stadium is also removed.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

YES, move Disater Transport to Geauga Lake as a family open air coaster. Then again, if you enclose it at Geauga Lake, then it would have to be a "7L" vs a "12E". Whatever the case, I see the Wicked Twister Midway as the area to be next to have major re development.

Well, you know where the food stall is back there? Past that.

MaXair has long lines all the time.

I still don't think it was three hours though. When I went to the park in the summer, the wait started at Chaos and the wait was under a hour.

Downtime could cause that type of wait, but the line always seems to move pretty fast due to the ride having 50 seats. *** Edited 4/20/2007 7:27:02 PM UTC by Gomez***

Might have been a bit shorter, but I'm guessing down time might have been a factor, cause while we sat and ate, the line barely budged along.

Though it looks evil and I get nauseas just watching it, I think a Power Surge would be a great spinner to add to that area.

Power Surge looks sweet. Revolution at Dorney Park is also fun. http://www.dorneypark.com/public/inside_park/rides/rides/revolution.cfm
